, it's close to where my fiancee works, close to Chinatown, and low property
tax. The living community we're at seems nice, as well. The only thing is
that the school district is small and not good, but there're asians in those
schools too.
But you don't have to live in stafford even if you work there thought, Sugarland and Missouri city are very close to stafford, tons of Chinese live there. |

早晨8点出发，Vegas街上的车还很少。开出Vegas，沿I-15向东，一片荒芜的沙漠风光
。开始还很兴奋地体会这份苍凉，看看Joshua树，后来慢慢被这一望无边了无生机的灰
色磨得懒懒的，提不起精神来。等到Mesquite了眼前突然一亮，路边不远处一片耀眼的
绿洲，很是赏心悦目。绿洲这个词，听得看得都烂熟于心了，但若是不到沙漠里走走，
不可能真正明白这是怎样的奇迹。换Ut-9以后，一条小河就开始时不时伴随在公路左右
，像一条绿色的带子飘来飘去，这就是Virgin River，在Zion还会和她亲密接触。很快
到了Hurricane。在这里竟然发现警察大哥开的是皮卡，并且没有任何警灯或警车的标
志。如果不是抓了一个超速的，还真难注意到。这个发现使得我们整个旅途中开车谨慎
了很多。后来陆续发现Utah南部的警车很多都用皮卡，真长见识了。
10点半到达Zion门口的小镇Springdale。很多小旅店分布在街边。这里有两家卖石头的

。N年前看Mel Gibson自导自演的《Braveheart》印象惊悚，有刻意制造恐怖之嫌（也
或许是年幼易受惊）；这次的《钢锯岭》虽然一样血腥：血肉模糊的断腿、裸露的内脏
、切腹、介错……但感觉就是真实的战争，没有夸张和刻意。奥斯卡剪辑奖得之无愧。
也或许是因为主角是一个救死扶伤、坚不碰枪的军医，这样的正气消解了暴力的恶气？
反正虽有不少捂眼睛的镜头，但从头到尾扣人心弦。一个手无寸铁的家伙不仅两次冲上
二战最凶险的冲绳战场，还赤手空拳单枪匹马——哦不，单人无马——救回75个伤员，
荣获美国最高军事荣誉奖章，不可不谓奇迹。
片中精彩台词和镜头纷呈。说几个给我印象最深的，也请各位说说你们的最深印象。

真是快被气死了，不得不来吐槽一下。我都不是爱挑刺的人，这次是实在忍不住了。
事情是这样的：
暑假开始后，公司组里来了一个中国女生。这个女生国内和我是同一个学校同一个系的
，美国这边phd又同校同系的。所以我对她还是很帮忙。这个女生的英语非常好，
当时我就有不详的预感。
有一天组里一起午饭。聊起美国这边的房产税。这个女生突然说：“in China，our
houses are all belong to the government.”当我就挺反感的。因为中国的情况比较
特殊，房产属于国家这个也仅仅是理论上的。中国的房子可以买卖，收入也归个人。保
护私有财产已经入宪了，将来房产个人化是非常可能的。
之后偶尔聊天，这女生说她fiancee是白人。我也并不太奇怪，因为她英语格外的好。
