I left China in June 1999, since then I having been studying and working
hard to fulfill my dream. 11 years flies quickly, I spent 5 years in Japan,
6 years in USA, but I have never visited China, I wish I can visit my
hometown next year. I really miss my parents in China. Last Saturday I
received my GC. My parents cried on the phone, I felt so sorry for my
parents. I spent 12 mid-autumn festivals in Japan and USA without my parents.

发帖数: 141625 | 14 我昨天在Orange的Racebrook Rd上看到，在那个圆顶的St Barbara教堂旁边有很多白顶
帐篷，烤肉烤鱼烤面饼，啤酒奶酪吃得香。还有载歌载舞的希腊男女。希腊人的五官都
很标致，尤其多美女，虽然有的身材巨胖。另一头有旋转木马、小火车、飞镖水枪投篮
等小孩游戏。教堂里有牧师主教的袍子让人参观，有人讲解希腊东正教以及教堂内的彩
绘建筑——彩绘很新很精致。教堂旁的大厅里有卖各种手工艺品。我买了个说是手工做
的希腊海景的冰箱贴。还挺好玩，住在附近的有空可以去看看，5号结束。现在的希腊
语是不是就是阿拉伯语？我以前的希腊学生这么说，但我又看到教人写希腊字母的小册子。

Oyster festival 是长岛一年一度的海鲜美食节，好吃也相对廉价。活动是这周六和周
日2天，在oyster bay beach. 目前已经有3个人，我们准备周6去。可能会从flushing开
车过去，需要搭车的同学可以站内联系我。要自己过去的同学可以从Penn station坐lo
ng island rail road到Oyster bay,下车走几分钟就是海滩。LIRR好像有个oyster fes
tival的getaway package,包括了往返的车票和food coupon之类的。如果周6去可以参加
免费的吃oyster大赛（在入口处报名）。另外现场还有各种表演活动和海盗主题的大船
