2009年9月，来自新加坡的华裔成人电影演员李斐莉雪(Felicia Lee，译音)在其白人男友蒙罗维亚住所被杀，案发前两人相识不到半年。窒息死亡的李斐莉雪，遍体鳞伤。

直到上世纪末，成人电影圈中难得见到华裔从业人员。但随着新移民源源涌入，难免有人悄悄做起这一行，对着镜头宽衣解带，当起A片明星。该报曾报导过南加州某名牌大学的大陆女生，在就读期间，为色情制片商拍摄超过200部“小电影”，每部均三点全露、极尽挑逗之能事。当事人自己不认为有什么不妥，还在网上与同学大方讨论。华裔同学对此则反应两极，有的平心以对，甚至赞赏她的勇敢与坦率，有的则不屑与之为伍。
