Museume in town, it is small, but it can give you the detial information
about the history of LANL and Los Alamos. It's at the intersection of
15th St and Central Av. It is open from Tue to Sat. and it is free
admission.
In the Santa Fe Design Center, you can try YinYang restaurant.
If you like Mexican Food, Blue Corn Cafe and Brewery in Santa Fe is a pretty
good choice. And the Gabrial on your way from Santa Fe to Los Ala |

Hilton Santa Fe/Historic Plaza, I also received the reminder from the
orgnizer to make reservation of Hilton hotel as soon as possible. But when I
checked some website, in this website, http://reservations.hotel-guides.us, people gave poor review to the Hilton. However, I found another hotel named as Old Santa Fe Inn, which has lower prices, but better review.
Anyone have some idea about these two hotels? Thanks in adva |

exact procedure but I know it's allowed.
And to Chinese, FE isn't difficult at all. I passed FE after my ~10 years'
working experience. |

英里外，与新墨西哥州交界不远的Santa Fe可以滑雪，于是和LD决定今年去转转，看看
久违不见的皑皑白雪。
第一天 12/23/2011 Austin – Santa Fe，NM
早晨7：30沿183一路向西北出发了，开了12个小时，晚6：30（时差1小时）竟然到了
Santa Fe订住的旅馆。一路上看厌了太多广袤荒凉的牧场。过了Lubbock, 路边出现了
厚实的积雪，再进入新墨西哥州内，路上多了当地盛产的红土尘埃与路面残存的积雪掺
杂着。车轮飞碾过路上的积雪，红土和融雪盐的混杂物，溅得车轮和车身色彩斑驳。 |

早8点起床后，悠闲地吃完早餐。看着窗外阳光灿烂，湛蓝透彻的天空，想象着滑雪的
乐趣，心绪不禁为之一振。Santa Fe Ski Basin是离城最近的滑雪场，开出城30多分钟
，我们就置身于巍然傲视的针叶雪松林立的雪山上，开过一段曲折盘旋的山间公路，就
到了喧闹的滑雪场。刚早晨9点多，租滑雪器具的队伍就很长了，等我们拿到滑雪板和
滑雪杖, 已是一小时之后了。由于是滑雪初学者，我们只买了Beginner Lift Ticket (
$32) + Rentals ($24) = $56/person, 价格适中。初学者滑雪道比较短（100多米），
坡度也比较缓和（20多度斜角），相对比较安全。并且初学者滑雪道是使用地面传送带
将滑雪者送到坡顶，而不是坐吊椅，滑雪流程变得快捷简便。很多有小孩的家庭使用此
道滑雪，其中一个年轻妈妈带着4，5岁的女儿在雪道上穿梭自如，身姿令人羡慕。贴个
滑雪场的Link, 没去过的人可参考一下。

发帖数: 28 | 14 第三天 12/25/2011 横穿Bandelier National Monument一带的National Forrest
睡了个懒觉，吃过早餐，将近11点才出发。出城后，先沿84北上，然后转502。在经过
White Rock时可以去那里的Overlook看看。站在高高的悬崖边，可以看到小瀑布，还有
从Cochiti Lake蜿蜒流出，绵延而去的河水。
由于是圣诞，一路上的公园和Monuments 都不开放，所以我们只是在路边观望了一下，
拍了几张照片留作纪念。在经过Jemez Springs的小村落时，不小心撞飞一只黑身白斑
尾的Wild Turkey, 惊魂一场。不过turkey好像还活着，只是飞到路的另一边了，阿弥
陀佛。
傍晚时分我们南下从505又回到了84号路，在森林里绕了一大圈之后，踏上了回旅馆的
路。如果不是天色已晚，其实往南开15英里就到Albuquerque了，我们只是懒得跑了。
第四天 12/26/2011滑雪
还是去了Santa Fe Ski Basin滑了大半天。咨询了旅馆的服务人员，要想滑雪，Santa

发帖数: 906 | 15 马里兰不知道，但你为什么不考virginia的，VA的要求少。FE，只要有美国硕士或者博
士学位，不需要国内学位认证。
但是，你要考PE，就必须有FE，否则你的本科学位要认证，当然，不认证也可以，但要
求工作年限长得多。
所以，先考FE，然后PE, 我就是这么做的。我谨慎地怀疑你可以在任何州同时考这两个。
看来你连board的基本要求自己都不看？你最好自己下载要求读了以后给他们发email确
认，一般board的秘书都很热情的。 |

Although Michigan has no admission pre-requisites for the FE, the
examination is typically taken on or around graduation. Michigan offers no
status, certification or registration to individuals successfully completing
the FE exam.We do maintain the record of the grades for verification to
other states or jurisdictions upon request. There is a fee of $15 for this
service.

the PE application. In general, it should have that form. Then, you should
fill that form and mail to New York state board with return postage to CA
state board. Also, you should contact with New York state board to make sure
the procedure and fee. Some states don't ask for fee such as Ohio but some
states request for couple dollars for the FE verification. Good luck. |

1.Part A就是FE。要考PE，FE通过和一定的工作年限（国内的也算）是两个必要条件。
2.美国成绩单要学校直接寄。中文成绩单要自己翻译成英文并且你学校盖章说翻译件与
原件相符。
3.是有这么个说法。好像PHD或多少多少年经验的可免FE。
其实最大的问题是你得找个公司，比如以前的ECEI，来evaluate你的本科课程。然后你
所在州的board再决定让不让你考试。不知这个规定有没有变。你考古，以前讨论过。

细，有的只是口头答复，并没有文件证实。现把我得到的信息跟大家共享一下。
打电话给NCEES （877-536-7729），明确答复说不需任何pre-approval的州有两个
UTAH MICHIGAN
问了NCEES关于这两个州的EIT License，说这两个州不issue EIT license，如果你将
来在任何州考PE，NCEES有义务通知你要考试的州Board，证明你已通过FE。此通知好像
是免费，未细问。
如果你和我一样，在美国有ABET Accredited Ph.D in Engineering,但是本科硕士是在
国内上的，你还可以选择：
ARIZONA
NORTH CAROLINA （但是考PE必须得在拿到你那个美国ABET Accredited Program学位之
后四年）
其他我打电话问过的，一定要Education Evaluation的州：
COLORADO
WYOMING
SOUTH DAKOTA

the office to make sure you are on the list.
2. you can download the reference book from your FE state website. It is a
heavy book and covers everything. you just need to read very basic knowledge.
3.the FE test is not difficult, if you have engineering degree in China. If
you have only science degree, it could be difficult.
dont worry. one month is enough to pass FE.

the future, I am planning to take FE/EIT exam in April 2008.
I had a BS in China and a MS in USA. PA requires evaluating BS to qualify
taking FE exam. I read message from here, Maryland does need to do BS
evaluation, is it right? My question is, if I take FE in Maryland, do I
still need to do BS evaluation for taking PE in Pennsylvania later?
