I do not think that 学霸 will fight with a new person because it will allow
the new person to be famous. In the USA, peer size is big enough so that it
is difficult for 学霸 to control all resources.
When I wrote a paper criticizing a paper published in Nature, the famous
author does not dare to argue in public. I will keep slapping their faces if
possible.
