在美国当爹妈的，肯定都知道咱娃上大学受歧视。哪怕你比其他种族都优秀很
多，你还是上不了人家可以上的大学。作为妈妈，这种人为刀俎我为鱼肉的感觉很糟糕
。一直很想弄明白有没有办法废除这种歧视。之前，只知道有人告了哈佛招生歧视亚裔
。 但不是很清楚是谁，什么力量，为什么在后面推动这场官司。毕竟打官司是一个旷
日持久，费财费力的事情。今天下午，认真的做了一下research。弄明白了一些基本的

running defense Auburn还是不错，几个对方的不错的RB都限制的还不错。
Fairly确实非常重要，基本上Auburn secondary防住WR是没希望了。防passing只有
指望Fairly和D line胖子们能多给QB一些压力。 |

Fairly被chop block没吹的还有一些。
rough QB和chop block是dirty play但是好歹还是比赛中的犯规。play结束后报复球
员应该更严重吧。而且正是这个报复造成了非比赛进程的冲突。我觉得说UGA报复引起
冲突
输球输入不算过分。当然这也是见仁见智了。
Football上这样的见得不多。我是以足球的理解。场上比赛中你动作大，该黄牌黄牌，
该红牌红牌。要追加停赛的停赛。这都是裁判应该控制的比赛处罚。死球之后，你在裁判
背后打人报复，引起冲突，然后场边球员进场。这个事态严重多了。

"Is mixed class fair or unfair?"
From my opinion, it's unfair. I think as a fair university, every student
should have opportunities to enjoy all resouces which the university provides as
long as he/she has paid tuition. These resouces include courses, libraries,
computer and network resources, etc. As best as I know, no American university
provide special rights for a small portion of students.

学校附近的公司基本都来了，GE，Siemens, P&G, kodak, 还有一堆不认识的公司。我
想过去找个intern玩玩，就过去凑热闹。。。
这次fair好像招的都不多，大公司只招那么几个人。 最ft的是好像都不怎么理我们F1
了。。。跟一个做satellite imaging的公司聊了半天，觉得都挺match的，但是最后对
方问了我是不是citizen，我说no,他说那没辙，他们公司做的很多都是government
contract, citizenship required.....5555555555
Siemens也是吊的不行了，internship也没多少available...
最后随便把resume给了几个公司，就草草收兵。。。
觉得挺失败的，大伙给些建议怎么找intern? |

活动的目的是我很希望能帮到那些正在读书找工的学生，特别是中国学生，因为当年我
也是这么过来的，也得到过师姐，朋友的帮助，之后成为同事一起工作。。。形势不好
的今年，大家一直叹息工作难找。还看到帖子说05，06进四大的中国人多，因为经济形
势好，什么人都能进，可今年这形势，就不那么容易了。经济不好确实是事实，但是，
机会永远是给那些有所准备的人，05，06拿offer的中国人，他们也是经过努力，经过
精心准备才拿到offer的。那么如何在这样的经济状况下，在众多中国人又有签证问题
CONCERN的时候，让自己well prepared，机会在面前的时候努力抓住它呢？我想说说参
加job fair的一些想法，希望对正在找工或者将要找工的中国同学有些帮助。我的看法
，想法不一定正确，仅供参考。
中国留学生越来越多，是我第一印象，比我在学校的时候，多多了。不过我读的TAX专
业可能本来中国人就少。中国学生喜欢找我说话，我非常能理解，当年我在学校看到EY

但是同时也看去job fair的staff跟HR/partner/sr.manager关系怎么样
还有那个staff愿不愿意为你做出更多
staff推荐了.后来partner不喜欢 最后倒霉的还是那个staff
staff打勾勾了 但是同学的resume实在不好看 HR还是不会理你
有人argue说 如果你的resume很好 gpa高，又有工作经验+社团经验。但是你的英文不
是特别流利
就不如不去job fair， 直接投on campus或许还能被挑到
挑到之后就看你运气 看那个interviewer喜不喜欢你了 |

过两次,四大都是要求在网上投简历,而且是校园内.当时的代表收下简历,我怀疑他们会
带回去给HR的人.而且来校园的代表都是从NYC来的.(我们不在CITY).跟本地的OFFICE都
不着边. (也许我猜想错了).
但是楼主很多细节的提醒和建议很有启发和学习的意义.

btw my co-worker told me that some people from outside of UCONN got in to
the fair as well, I have no idea how, but guess it's a good sign:)

year, probably even so after this wall street meltdown. Wish everyone good

发帖数: 2269 | 39 job fair是一个很好的办法，因为你能直接和nurse recruiter谈话，交resume，而且
你能在短暂的时间内获得很多医院的信息，比如是否办绿卡。但是申请的话，现在基本
都是网上申请。网上提交了application后，有的可以网上交resume，就是打电话催了
。如果能在job fair上和nurse recruiter约个时间谈就最好不过了，因为美国人都是
说的好听，＂feel free to call me＂，但往往是不接电话，不回email，所以交了申
请后就要你催了。
至于绿卡：一定要说明白，如果医院不付律师费的话，自己回掏这些钱的，因为有的医
院很抠的；而且要说明医院要负责的document并不多，律师都会准备好，HR只需要签字
就行了，要不然HR的人会觉得很烦的，就是再缺护士，只要能招到美国人也不会优先考
虑你的（我指的是从HR的角度来看，他们最关心的就是paperwork） |
