发帖数: 357 | 1 4月底考的，出来很差的感觉，第一个病人忘了问全部的PMH,前2，3个都没有问药物过
敏，3，4个病人什么都问不出来，PN有几个diff Dx不会拼。。。
但是我fail 在SEP上了，写出来求大家的建议！
我的口语比较差，向来不太擅长讲话，虽然练了很多遍，但是考试的时候一紧张就哆嗦
了，而且有几个病人由于没有什么cc（fatigue),就搜肠刮肚反复的问，结果有不少
broken sentence。。。
fail了，不知道今年还赶的上么。。而且这sep也不是一天两天就可以提高的。。大家
给我出出主意吧啊一，什么program/training啊什么的。american accent training
也听了，感觉帮助有限哪，我的发音尚可，就是不会讲话。。。

may apply this year and pass CS before February. However some programs
require CS for IMGs.
With a failed CS the chance for match is slim. By January (get the new CS
result) most interview invites will be long gone. |

I failed CS in Oct. --> retook it in mid Nov, --> got IV's in Dec/Jan, -->
knew I passed in Jan, --> matched in Mar.
Need ECFMG cert for match? Not true at least before this year. You dont need
a cert to take part in NRMP and even for match day. That was my case.
Certified in NRMP is not the same thing as being certified in ECFMG. I know
it's confusing but i m not going to spend more time on this.

Last but not least, believe in next year Match, at the same time, make a backup plan for your life.I failed last year, and I know some of my friends failed this year , too. Fail”时，我感到自己的心脏似乎在那一瞬间停止跳动，眼泪也不觉夺眶而出；这次又
是栽在SEP上，刚刚在及格线左边；本以为自己这次已经准备了很充分了，考试完后还
对老公说感觉不错能过，可是怎么又一次Fail了！
有时感觉自己是不是年纪大了，记忆力和智力都下降了；十年前在大学时轻轻松松就那
个全年级前五名的，可现在怎么就在CS上栽了两次。
一直对自己的能力很自信，但是没想到在准备了大半年后，step1却考的刚刚上80；经
过总结教训、下狠心努力，Step2 ck考得还不错--99。然后就是连着两次cs的失败。
想想全家省吃俭用，可自己却连连失败，那么多的考试费和资料费都打了水漂，看着家
人失望的眼神，想着两年多了很少能陪儿子一起读书做游戏，想想老板因为试验耽误而
严厉的训斥甚至威胁fire掉我，想着自己渺茫的前途，真是有时候想死的心都有了。
请各位过来人指点一下，像我这样的条件，还有希望在美国从医么？还是现在就放弃，
走其他的路比如考护士？我实在是不想做postdoc搞研究了。谢谢您的建议 |

发帖数: 309 | 10 There is no way to hide. Only way to make it up is to take 2nd time as soon
as possible and pass it. Program doesn't care if you failed step 3 once and
pass it in the 2nd time. But make sure you won't fail the 2nd time because
some states had limits to each steps and you may have difficult to register
in these states later. |

Every program will surely notice your failed CS and do not try hiding it.
However, I do not think it is a good idea trying to explain it in your PS.
Personally, I failed CS once, and none of the program interviewed me asked
about that. My guess is the programs which really care about that already
filtered me out.
It is bad, but not death sentence. Good luck. |

already paid so much, why giving up now? Do you know how many people with 1-
2-3-4 interviews this year got matched with surprise? I don't personally
know anyone who failed cs for more than once, it's going to be difficult,
but anything can be improved with long term externship. |

五重做。
虽然不是啥大事，但是还是有些感想跟大家分享一下。
总结一下fail的原因，主要还是自己不认真。医学界严进宽出，古今中外都一样。我自
从踏进这道门，就一直比较lay back，不大认真。想想确实不应该，首先自己花了那么
大努力进来了，还是应该珍惜学习机会。另外，现在遇到的任何问题，都有老师给顶着
，今后自己独立了，出了问题，如果处理不了，可就没那么轻松了。
客观原因，也是我特别感慨的，还是语言障碍。Staff说话特别小声，本来就不太能听
清，再隔着口罩，手术室里又乱哄哄的，ipod音乐没停，我听她的话真是挺困难的。我
目前的英语水平，在平时工作，对病人，护士，老师一对一的交流，基本没问题，但是
这种operating room setting，一群人讨论，你一言我一语的，我就非常明显感觉到语
言障碍了。经常想说什么，又力不从心，非常的frustrated。等病人麻翻了，开始手术

match, 有人fail CS也match,但是背后的辛酸只有他们自己知道，他们做的努力在各个
方面要多出很多倍，如果你觉得一个step1都让你分身乏术，精疲力竭，那我也劝你
move on. 后面的要你付出的可能会让你发疯。
我觉得头条上马云的例子真的很励志，如果他当初考进了警察也许就没有今天的阿里巴
巴，又或许做警察并不是他真正想要的所以没有倾其所有的去争取。所以人生就是云起
云落，谁知道哪天就柳暗花明又一村了。想清楚，然后永不后悔自己的决定。

而且不是学校绝情，加速课程一个套一个，你fail了一科，理论上讲你
下学期就应该有一两科不能选了，留你下来也没有意思了。
公立学校很多就直接把这样的退学了，私立学校可以让你转到普通班继续
你那朋友按说完成了三个学期。转到普通班最多两个学期也能毕业了。 |

的GED.我教的是晚班，他们白天还有上班，晚上来上课, 也不容易的.
所谓的＂帮她过＂不是作弊，而是在允许的范围内的。只是没有给其他的学生类似的提
醒。那８分她都做了，只是半途想起来补上的，也就勉强给她算上了.
学校也有规定，每个月不能fail 超过多少学生的.而且我在给她宣布分数前跟
director讨论过了，就是超标了也得fail她。director马上跟 regional director,打
了电话，当场就和她谈话了，terminate.
以前带的一个晚班，开始３０人，我教的时候剩１６人，据说现在还有９个。从学生的
角度来讲，老师就象恶魔一样，我也体会过的，当过学生的。从大众来看，我们又太松
了。不过无论如何他们毕业都要考执照的，不通过是不会找到工作的。
还有我教的是LVN／LPN，通常在医生办公室或者老人院工作，责任小，在医院工作的大
多是RN，是college毕业的，LVN／LPN和RN的差别还是很大的。但是我不可能用RN的标
准去要求LVN／LPN，这对他们不现实。 |

。我的CI（clinical instructor）一开始就不喜欢我。她人也很挑剔。反正怎么做都

上周CI通知学校，说我不行，肯定fail了。学校可能会安排我去另外一家医院，再延长

今天刚好要去Columbia那边，于是约了一家city-data上面老外们推荐做车检的车行叫D
obbin Auto Repair，说是很honest不会乱搞。我的车子是01年140k的老车。
结果被无情的fail了，毛病大概有一半是suspension吧，另外一半是power steering和
一些莫名其妙的东西。下面是他们列的repair，因为关门前才做完检查所以没来得及估
价，但是伙计很囧地跟我粗粗估计一下说是至少要1500。
