我在linkedin上search工作，然后看到一大公司有招人，职位很match，就投了。然后
很快就给了phone screen。然后就没动静了。这个公司在业界是挺大的，几乎每个州都
有facility。
奇怪的是，一个职位，在这个公司不同的facility，几乎每隔一两周都有放一个出来。
刚开始我还挺高兴，觉着机会挺多，然后就感觉很奇怪，为什么一直在招人啊？职位做
rotation啊？
然后就感觉在骗感情了，你还所有facility这个职位都来一遍不成？而且还是同一个
agent发的信息。
各位有知道这是什么情况么？ |

Emergency Room Facility， 然后旁边两栏IN-NETWORK及OUT-OF-NETWORK栏下写的都是

所以在我看来是没有区别的。我不知道我查的这个服务项目对不对，因为我们但是看的
就是急诊，只是不知道给女儿做手术的out-of-network的医生。我们有跟保险公司说明
过看的是急诊，但似乎不管用。你认为如果看急诊，in-network和out-of-network如果
cover的一样的话，保险公司应该多付些的吗？ |

有个账单。奇怪的是两个账单都有一样的$12k charges。打电话问，他们说是facility
charge，在医院住病房三天的费用。我说大人和孩子不同，虽然都要付病房费，但不
可能碰巧一样的charge吧，毕竟大人孩子的service不一样。我女儿出生后就在婴儿室
待了俩小时等妈妈，妈妈从剖腹产手术室进入病房后女儿就一直和妈妈待在一起了。
Billing depart说没错，就是这样。
我记得网上有人说生个孩子总费用（医院递交给保险公司的费用）是一万多，而我家妈
妈和女儿账单合在一起大约$28k。所以我怀疑是不是被多charge了，特别是妈妈和女儿
的facility charge费用一样，哪有这么巧的。
请问有在NYH Queens出生过孩子的吗？你们最后总charge大概将近3万吗？妈咪和孩子
有同样的> $10k facility chage吗？ 谢谢！ |

incident is bad, but I hope you can find bright thing from it. When you send
your kid to school, to the community and to the society, you want your kid
to learn not only the good things, but also learn to cope with bad things
about this society. One of the bad thing that exists universally is that
there is always mean people around you. Teach your kid both to be nice and
stand tough and strong against mean people.

activities, including the front and back yard, has to be child-proof with
safety gates etc. Check if the living area, kitchen, and bathroom are as
clean as you can accept. Talk to the teacher and make sure she is trained

80%的美国老人希望临终的时候是在家里与亲人告别，可是事实往往不是如此，只有20%
的人做到了，其他80%的人都死在医院和Nursing home里。
最近因为一些原因，我有机会去过几家养老院, 现在谈谈我的感受。
Nursing home：
美国的Nursing home分为三种：Intermediate care facility (ICF)，Assisted
living facility (ALF)，Skilled nursing facility (SNF)。我想我三个都去过，前
两者是自己付费，最后一个是Medicare, Medicaid付大头。Nursing home，价格从3千
到6千美元每月不等（当然还有更高的），月费年年涨，据说进去的时候还要缴纳一笔
不菲的押金。

国内生物医学研究发展很快，尤其是近几年，随着国家包括“千人计划”，“青年
千人计划”在内的各类引才计划的实施，越来越多的有能力、有抱负、学有所成的同胞
回到国内大学研究所开展研究。他们想做跟他们在国外时一样领先的科研，回国后却发
现力不从心，工作经常是难以展开。主要原因不仅是国内科研经费的问题，也不是国内
学生素质的问题。很多时候是国内能够支撑他们做良好科研的配套条件不具备。主要表
现在试剂、仪器设备、实验动物等方面的服务跟不上。所以国内特别需要有这样的人才
能够回国创业，把这些方面做大做好。

It says file at the UCSIC Chicago Lockbox facility if your response to

参加他们的DOE Review meeting，有director的邀请信，里面说了邀请我是因为我是
user，而且我的research 是high quality，还说我的参加对他们这个facility的前途
很重要。这个review meeting三年才有一次，是DOE决定还要不要继续拨款支持这个
facility的。但是没有提什么top之类的，也没有介绍其他与会的人的背景。这种可以
放到contribution里面去说么？害怕到时候招来rfe。

发帖数: 828 | 43 看到网上有不少人纠结是否在六月一号送到,或者担心提前送到.
我想说的是明天(周五)寄是可以保证周一送到的.如果想卡的这么紧,还是不要用
priority mail寄了,选择专业快递吧,比如fedex.
fedex有个选项周末不送, 可以保证周一送到.
为此本人问过fedex. 我是五月一号送上去,四号(周一)送到, 当时选择周一送到是因为
不希望周六送的时候如果没有人签收还搞个delivery notice节外生枝.
贴一下本人的fedex记录.以供参考.

生活里天天充滿着美好充盈着愛。
我是達美航空公司15號班機的機組人員，2001年的9月11日從德國的法蘭克福機場飛越
大西洋，目的地是美國的亞特蘭大。
忽然，機艙內的布簾都拉了起來，我被叫到駕駛艙去見機長。在那兒，幾個機組人員都
面露嚴肅。機長給我一張紙條，這是從亞特蘭大機場辦公室發出來的訊息，上面寫著：
「所有私人航空公司飛往美國的航道全部關閉，請盡速降落在最近的機場，並請告知你
的降落目的地。」
沒有一個人對此訊息有隻字片語，我們都知道事態的嚴重性。我們需要立刻找到一個陸
地降落，機長決定最近的機場是離我們400英里遠的甘德, 紐芬蘭。
機長要求加拿大航空交通控制中心核准路線的改變，我們沒有被質疑而獲得即刻的核准
，後來我們才知道為何我們的要求毫不遲疑的被核准。
當我們正準備降落時，另一個訊息從亞特蘭大傳來，告訴我們在紐約地區有恐怖行動。
幾分鐘後，我們知道是劫機事件。
尚未降落前，我們決定跟乘客撒個白謊，說是一個小小的機械問題需要降落在最近的機
場-甘德, 紐芬蘭，做個檢查。

rooms stinks and water takes forever to become hot. The pressure of the
