所以大家在准备2010年和review过去年份的税表时要特别注意
1. 申报探亲父母为dependent要慎重
2. 什么样的情况下可以做Ebiz，可以有1099-M收入

agreed 了最后IRS的 examination report。 signed 了Form 4549 并且寄送回了IRS.
但是，关于补交税款，report 上说得很含糊，我读不太懂。应该在寄送signed Form
4549 的同时寄送补交的check呢？还是IRS 在收到signed Form 4549 后会寄出类似
bill 的东西，然后等拿到这个bill后才能补交？IRS examination report 里面不同的
文件有不同的解释，很是混淆。

发帖数: 14 | 12 情况很简单，F1 PhD 学生。就报了两次税，2009-2010 和 2010-2011。
2009-2010：完全不懂被一个“朋友”带着，把stipend当fellowship报了，后来报上去
后，知道不能这样，但报侥幸心理就没通知IRS，结果联邦税全退下来了。
2010-2011：继续报侥幸心理，按fellowship报，结果今天收到了Tax Examination。
打擦边球果然是要收到惩罚的，这样的行为肯定是错误的，现在已经深刻认识到了。现
在有几个问题还请教一下大家：
2009-2010要补的钱，应交税（本来被全退下来了）+ penalty + interests
2010-2011要补的钱，应交税（还没有退税，已扣掉的比应交的要多）+ penalty +
interests
这个Examination上算的应交的税是不是基本上就是正确的，特别是对于我这种非常简
单的情况，IRS出错的机会应该不大吧？
想问一下penalty可不可以找个理由argu一下，看初犯能不能减点罚款。不知这样是否
可行，还是基本上就不可能，是很幼稚的行为？

that you want to go for the formal appeal.
It would be better to have the letter stating your source of income.
For green card, just make sure you do not have on-going dispute or
examination with IRS when you are submitting 140 and 485. |

examination，也不知道啥意思。副申请人的SR回复说extended review。这看来也不知
道要等到啥时候了。

可是banfield 给的examination report居然全是很好的
overall是excellent， 体重是ideal， 除了牙结石， 报告上打钩的全是最好的状态
这样是不是还可以买保险啊？ 保险会有多大用处呢？ 一个月以后还要复查。 我可能
会考虑用放射性同位素疗法。
总共给了6张纸。 2张账单， 1张examination report（我扫描了PDF， 谁能帮我看看
啊）
后面3张是3个topic， 牙结石， 甲亢和保肝药
没有诊断书， 没有化验单

，连擦伤都没有，也没有救护车，我们一起在路边站了一个多小时等警察做笔录，警察
后来也到了现场，保险公司判定我的过失。本以为就这样过去了，没想到一年后收到对
方的律师信，说要告我人身伤害。一查，原来我们这儿车祸两年之内都可以起诉人身伤
害。对方告到了我保险的极限（1 million），此外还有25w的惩罚性罚款。基本上就是
刺裸裸的碰瓷咋骗，我也咨询了一些相关人士，还有经历过类似事件的人，大家都说不
用担心，对方只是狮子大开口，法院也不傻，保险公司也不傻，最后给的钱要远远小于
对方开出的价钱。不过，半年以来心里还是担心，每年很多人都经历车祸，大家都没什
么事儿，我为啥这么倒霉呢？也担心最坏的后果出现。下周一，是examination of
discovery，就是所谓的交叉盘问，对方律师问我关于车祸案件相关的问题，大概一个
多小时吧，有人有这方面的经验吗？能给小弟指点指点吗？ |

know anything about tax return that time. My ex-boyfriend did the tax for me
which got me all tax returned. Now I am in trouble. What should I do? just

发帖数: 8 | 42 学校给的是PhD Fellowship。这个fellowship 部分由系里出，部分由老板出。所以,
最后tax office 把系里出的那部分钱 report 在 1042-S上，把老板出的那部分
report在 W2上。在报税的时候，系里出具一张证明，证明我接受的是non-service
fellowship。我把这张证明放在报税的package里，然后把withheld的税拿了回来。但
是 tax examination 要求我对W2上的收入补税。我打了几次电话，那个official坚持
认为W2上的收入要缴税。 我跟他争辩没用，虽然他承认non-service fellowship是免
税。
请问，遇到这种问题应该如何处理？万一最后我还是要补缴，会不会对绿卡申请有影响

发帖数: 408 | 43 没用，这个分明是你学习里的payroll office搞错了。W2上的收入，不论任何理由，都
是需要计算交税的部分。正常情况下，你应该让系里给payroll office证明，之后让他
们把你W2上的收入补到1042上去，之后把W2取消掉。否则，只有你有W2，一点用都没有
，无论你对IRS examination 解释什么。我试过的。
所以王道是从学校那边改，如果你的收入都在1042上，那天经地义的没问题了 |
