没时间写长篇游记，就简要介绍一下这几个national parks比较
有特点的景点吧。先从Yosemite开始。
Yosemite主要分三个part：Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows,
Glacier Point & Mariposa Grove.
Tuolumne Meadows
我们沿着Highway 120从Big Oak Flat entrance进去， 先沿着
Tioga Road去Tuolumne Meadows，去之前听朋友说那儿的meadow
特别美，可能我们去的时间不对，我觉得meadow很一般，因为野花
也就是零零星星，色彩也比较单调。不过Yosemite是我们这次旅程
去的第一个NP，所以当时也觉得还可以，估计春天会比较好看。
在快到Tioga Pass entrance的地方有去Gaylor Lakes trail的入口。
强烈推荐这个trail，晚上去山上湖边看日落特别特别美。在入口处
的海拔就是9945ft，爬山坡度还挺陡的，所以 |

4 月12 日 （周三）：深入地下数百英尺的洞穴2 个多小时，从洞穴所在地whites city,
NM 开车到Austin, TX, 全程480miles, 8 个小时左右。
这个地下溶洞的名字叫作 Carlsbad, 却并不在Carlsbad 镇上。溶洞所在的小镇名叫
whites city, 从Carlsbad 镇开过去，20miles, 不到半个小时。从溶洞公园的入口处，
要开车盘旋上山好久才到visitor center, 溶洞的入口就在visitor center 哪里。有两
个入口，一个叫natural entrance, 可以步行一步步下到溶洞的最深处，另外一个叫
elevator entrance, 坐电梯直下到洞穴里最大的一个洞，叫做big room 的。 我是自己
走下去，坐电梯上到地面的。据开电梯的工作人员讲，电梯的高度有70 层楼那么高，怪
不得坐了那么就才到地面。
溶洞的门票 6 刀，另外花3 刀可以租一个self-guided tour 的东东，大约有半条手臂那
么长，细细的，上面 |

open at this time. When he learned that I was heading to Bend, he recommended
La Pine SP for my stay, which was already in my plan. Called Crater Lake NP
and learned that the west part of rim drive is open. That means I can enter
the park from the north entrance and leave from south entrance. Decide to do
more driving today and leave more time in Crater Lake.

Only west part of rim is open now.

good place for sunset, and then camping at grand canyon; 6th morning, drive

horseshoe bend on the way, and stop at glen canyon for a break, and then

np 的小道上。
因为去之前在这里获得了很多信息，所以回来后，也给要去那里玩的朋友们写一些有用

从新泽西出发，除去中途吃饭休息，一共开了9个小时，公公婆婆前一天蒸了好多包子
，卤了牛肉，煮了鸡蛋和咸鸭蛋，第二天早上出发前，又切了西瓜，洗了生菜，带上半
包全麦面包，在路上吃。。。顺便说，老人家怕吃不惯快餐，怕小孩子不能吃快餐，还
带了个电饭煲，两个小瓷碗（公公不喜欢用一次性的纸杯装饭菜）一包大米一包小米，
呵呵，煮粥，一路听着单田芳老师的西游记，开往缅因州。
到了旅馆已经是晚上将近11点，路上使用的是GPS，所以我也不知道走的是什么路线，
反正收费站不少，到处是turnpike。按mit之前的文章所说，一定要选择Bar Harbor上
的旅馆，离公园近，特别是如果是自己开车的话。我在acadia magic这个网站上看到一
些motel cottage看起来都还凑合，但我没住。我们订的旅店是135一个晚上，不算便宜

1) from carlsbad, go south to big bend. I never been there. and I have two
friends grew up there, and like that place.
when you come back, you can visit Roswell, and fly home from abq
you have plenty of opportunity to visit petrified forest if you fly to phx
or abq in the future.
2) from Socorro, drive 60 west, to VLA, stop for 0.5-1 hour, then
springerville, take 180 north to the south entrance of

发帖数: 2868 | 29 我现在计划今年7月份用美国的国庆节再加上自己的9天休假，去黄石，san francisco, yosemite那边看看。我在密西根州，之前开车出去玩过很多次。ideally, 我希望能够再找到1个男生+2女生，男生有在美国长途的经验，毕竟出去玩，安全是第一位的。女生最好有一个也能开车。这样如果2个男生真的都开累了，女生可以顶上。FYI, 我没有任何想和couple或者2个dating的人出去玩的打算。btw, 我这人对摄影多多少少有些兴趣，如果你喜欢摄影就更好了，有些时候我有点想很早就起床，赶着日出拍照，或者为了照某个景点而等到日落的时候。
车的话，其实我的车也可以开长途，09年的rav4, 跑了3万mi。 但如果出去玩，开这么远，就不单单是油钱的问题，还有车磨损，距离短的话，我出车，油钱按人数分也就算了，我以前这么干过很多次。但开6000mi，磨损费用我要多了，我觉得不合适，要少了，我自己又吃亏，所以干脆租车，费用平摊。

it was quite fun.
There are several entrances to the park, and there are multiple trails, so
basically you can choose different trails to make it a round--trip, or you
can stick to the most popular one (the one by the waterfall) in and out.
Or, if you choose to, there is a shuttle bus at a moderate fee that can take
you from one entrance to the other, so you can just complete one-way hike

In my opinion, Yellowstone park is the best national park for family with
small kids because there are a varieties of features: geysers, canyon&
waterfalls, wild animals. And there is no need of long hikes to get great
view. Facilities (food and lodge) are all reasonable. And you can add a
visit to Teton national park (if you drive from south entrance) and the
nearby cities to the trip as well.

帮助，现在把自己的行程和大家分享。
由于只有老公开车，我们选择飞到Bozeman，这样向北5个半小时到冰川，而到黄石北门
只要1个半小时，不用开太久的长途。机票是在priceline上定的，由于订的晚，花了很
多米，心疼啊~~~~~
先贴行程，之后再说说衣、食、住、行啊。我们全程都没有刻意的看日出、日落，太累
，基本上每天10-11am出门，8pm左右回住处
Day 1 BZN—East Glacier
10:30am到BZN机场，取车，一路开向East Glacier，中途顺路在Helena的walmart补给
必需品：吃的、喝的、防蚊的、牙膏、cooler（这个很有用！）5:30pm到达East
Glacier，游览two medicine

从Glacier NP这个方向过去，黄石附近，不一定最近的小镇，可以距离黄石2个小时以
内车程的地方，哪个小镇可以停留一晚呢？
按照现在的计划周四傍晚到黄石附近的小镇，周五住进黄石公园里面，看大家的帖子好

- rent car, eat lunch, buy water, drive to Moab, check in hotel around 3
pm.
- buy the NPS annual pass
- Balanced Rock (30 min), take about 20 min to drive to there. If hv
time, hit view points/pull out along the way
- The Windows + double arch (1hr)
- eat diner and buy apple, sandwich at city market, fill up gas
