为庆祝农历蛇年的到来，华埠各社团纷纷组织相应，开展这场别具场面的春节大游
行，精心制作的大花车，激荡人心的游行乐队，热闹欢庆的舞龙舞狮，传统动听的传统
音乐，生动有趣的魔术表演和杂技杂耍，都会让人感受到中华传统节日特色。今年游行
队伍预计将有超过5000人，观光客可能会超过10万。此外，主办方还希望组织万人共跳
江南Style骑马舞，之后将此活动申请列入吉尼斯世界纪录大全。

发帖数: 280 | 14 相信大家对Chinglish早已经见怪不怪了，就连上世纪30年代逐字翻译的中式英语Long time no see(很久不见)，也大张旗鼓地进入了英语标准词组的“领地”。当然这不过属于“中式逐字翻译原创版”，老外们看后莞尔一笑也就过去了。但有些情况则不同，已有的英文词句的表意往往并非是单词的真正意思，如果一不留神就会酿成“英语尴尬”，闹笑话不说，表错了意有时还会带来不少误会。就像一位博友在加拿大的亲身经历——他刚到加拿大的时候看到很多大厦门口都有smoke free的标志，因此由衷地感叹道：“加拿大就是好，抽烟都免费。”

edition，我以前灌水时说过，讲一个一心追求学术的大学生，跟随他仰慕的学者刻苦
读书，却越来越发现学术、书本的苍白。同时和隔壁垂死的老头交往，得知他的年轻往
事、生命经历，看着他失去记忆而待死。最后年轻人放弃学业，选择生活，和女朋友说
：我们只要现在，不要考虑未来，好不好。他还是疑惑和迷惘，但仍然选择了reality/
现实/生活，只有从生活中才能摸索到他想寻找的东西。 |

这个老教授，让我想起一篇小说the eleventh edition，哎很建议你看，得了90年欧亨
利小说的头奖。这个11th edition说的是大英百科全书，那个主人公男孩好像从小没爸
，一心读书，很以一个知名哲学教授为偶像和父亲。后来认识隔壁一个垂死的老头，有
很多关于吃、生病、生死的描写。后来在教授家的浴室，发现教授喜欢各种香皂，用很
多药，有各种病。他的书本理想幻灭。最后结尾是和女朋友在一起，we live young
and die happy，说我们不管将来好不好。还是很迷茫。整个故事写得很冷静但又很掏
心窝。年轻就是好。我现在都没有理想了…… |

Luangpor Teean Jittasubho (1911-1988), or Phan Intapew, was born on

for that long. One thing that struck me immediately about the two companies
-- an impression that has been reinforced almost daily -- is that Amazon
does everything wrong, and Google does everything right. Sure, it's a
