This principal runs a school of “no.”
Students at PS 106 in Far Rockaway, Queens, have gotten no math or reading
and writing books for the rigorous Common Core curriculum, whistleblowers
say.
The 234 kids get no gym or art classes. Instead, they watch movies every day.
“The kids have seen more movies than Siskel and Ebert,” a source said.
The school nurse has no office equipped with a sink, refrigerator or cot.

2012年，中国科学院出版了专辑《牛满江与中国科学院》，有老科学家给了
我一份。
牛满江是1970年代中国最著名的生物学家，他在美国有工作期间没有全时回
国工作，不过在当时对中国生物学界影响很大。
专辑内容包括：牛满江与中国科学院纪事、美国生物学家批评中国科学家的
工作、戴维森教授评牛满江的工作、对牛满江先生的工作的一点看法、邹承鲁谈
学术腐败（摘录）、xxxxx访谈录、xxxxx谈牛满江等（xxx为我的删节）。
我2007年写过有关文字，不过还是不知道专辑的很多内容，所以其他知道的
人可能也不多。
需要说明，我认为方毅等在很多其他事情上为中国科学做了重要贡献，而后
来的行政领导是受以前报道和误导的影响，专辑让我们了解历史的复杂性。
科学院早在1974年就知道他有问题，试了很多处理办法。国内学者、海外华
人学者、国际学者都指出过他的问题。

I do not read or watch news media of Taiwan. I do not communicate with
another Taiwanese or visit their chat room. I lived in Chicago for four
years in 1980s, where there were Siskel and Ebert, a team of movie critics.

Robert Redford的电影《大河恋》（A River Runs Through It）跟我猜想的
完全不一样。
这个设置在二十年代美国蒙大拿州小镇米苏拉的故事背景十分宏大，有白人对印第
安人的种族歧视，有资本家对矿工的欺压剥削，有成长、归去与乡愁，但Redford对这
些“大”似乎都不在意，镜头的聚焦处只在生活小节上，比如父亲教兄弟俩诺曼和保罗
飞钓（fly fishing），两兄弟长大后怎么借船飞渡激流，怎么一同出行钓鱼，生活在
一个夏天里怎么发生着一些难以察觉的细小变化。在这样的设置下，影片几乎是采取了
一种“反高潮”的叙事手法，所有的“大事件”，比如诺曼的六年东部大学生活，比如
保罗因执意报道而遭遇麻烦，保罗进入龙蛇混杂的小酒馆“露露”后究竟发生了什么等

上个月朋友老易（易速利）跟我说他在思考如何将更多的元素融入到影评中去。大众传媒的介绍性影评往往寡淡无味，内容单薄，而学术性的细节扩张批评又大多架子太高，言语干瘪。老易问究竟怎么样的影评才是好影评？
这个问题还真把我难住了。虽说我从2005年起写影评到现在，划拉一下差不多也积攒了二十五万余字，但我还是总结不出来究竟怎么样的影评才是好影评。我想这主要是因为影评这个文学体裁（如果能算一种文学体裁的话）是主题性而非形式性的分类，可用记叙、议论、抒情等各种文体去处理，包括诗歌，我看说不定现在最流行的咆哮体也照样可以用来写影评，有木有啊有木有？那么文学评论上所适用的“好文章”分类便也可适用于影评中的各种形式；但文学评论毕竟从形式出发，又未必能涵盖影评所针对的被评电影的主题性。正是这样复杂而又专注的文体形式，我觉得是难于为“好影评”清晰界定的主要原因。... 阅读全帖 |

我是从我过去的经历中选影评人或者书评人，跟我口味相合，或者特别有启发的。比如
LA TIMES 的Kenneth Turan(资深影界人士，技术男)， NYT的A. O. Scott（这位是搞
文学出身的）， 偶尔也会信一下roger ebert（这人偶尔发骚，老头发骚的时候可爱）
。如果这些人异口同声说好，我就信了。文学评论我以前看john leonard多一点，但是
他死了。

的那些强多了。只不过和莫言小说本意不一样。
不过已故美国著名影评人Roger Ebert只给《幸福时光》打了两颗星，很低的分数。他
说盲女在给工厂大叔们massage没有sex很不可思议，不过我和瞎导都觉得Roger没有理
解其中的悲剧意义。
