看了胖老师这段评论，我觉得关于Rochester还是很值得商榷的。
Downtown Rochester的确衰落了，和美国其他的工业城市一样，市区很不景气。柯达，
博士伦都倒闭了。但是！University of Rochester这个学校还是很厉害的。今年新当
选的院士，就有一个是UR的。前几年当选的Lynne E. Maquat，也是UR的。最重要的一
点，UR是私立名校。大部分本科生都是立志要进Medical School的，所以学习很刻苦。
UR的主校区不在市区，周围很安全（别过河就行）。大部分教授住在南边的小镇，比如
Henrietta，Pittsford；日子过得非常惬意。另外，UR的音乐学院Eastman，很多专业
排到全美第一。 |

酱鸭
方子是在买买提饼版精华区上看到的，稍作改进。
1） 腌制：炒花椒盐，均匀抹在鸭子内外，鸭肚子里塞两块桂皮，八角。用保鲜膜裹紧
，在冰箱里放24-48小时
2） 把腌好的鸭子冲洗干净，擦干下锅，锅里喷一层薄油，先大火后中火炸/煎个20－
30分钟，一层素油会变成小半锅鸭油，到鸭皮看起来金黄干呼呼的时候捞起，放在纸巾
上吸油。做这一步的时候我考虑了没有用最大的锅，选了中等大小的平底锅。这样鸭子
的踝关节油炸不到，可以用手拎着翻面，很方便。还有一种方法也不错，用一个长柄的
汤勺叉到鸭子的肚子里，这样可以轻松将整鸭提起。这一步的目的是让鸭皮不太肥腻。
3） 葱姜切段/片，放整鸭下锅，3颗八角，2大勺酱油（我用了一勺半生抽，半勺老抽
），1大勺糖，3大勺黄酒，半锅水（这个比例基本不错，就是甜味偏淡，所以最后我在
上色的时候又加了蜂蜜），中火烧个1－2小时，当中翻3、4次（前面说的插在鸭肚子里
的汤勺这时候就很方便）。
4） 把整鸭捞到平底锅里，倒少量汤汁进去，然后用汤勺不断舀汤浇在鸭子身上，那里

size (500$).
经验：
List price 绝对是个joke. 我上次给儿子买的时候，他们要750$.我回去
上他们网站一查，639$。所以第二次去说你们网站是这个价钱，而且还有10%打折（网
站上打印的），salesman 好说话，经过讨价还价，500$拿下。
教训：
2010年没做研究，850$ 买了 serta amber night,睡了一年，sagging. 2011，他们给
换了一次，但是同样的问题出现了。现在在第二次warranty claim。有了这次教训，我
上网好好研究了一番，才知道mattress有这么多名堂，价钱可以很离谱。
我爱硬床垫，自所以选这款，觉得coil count 和面料都不错。us-mattress.com 那个
大家推荐的款式，觉得一般般，没试过，等了一个月也不见promotion, 所以就放弃了

问有无可能自己和厂家联系,买了进口到中国. 据说(我这个朋友),她的同学是负责原材
料的,只要价格便宜,肯定可以有她来组织货源.
我没这方面的经验. 考虑量很大,不是个人可以垫得起这个资金的,而且,我觉得央企怎
