上月底发生在圣地牙哥迦密谷(Carmel Valley)购物中心附近的一起夺命车祸，案中死
者已确定为从中国四川省前来探亲的唐姓老人(年约70岁)。目前警方将事故主要原因归
咎于死者未遵守交通规则横越马路；死者家人不服，拟聘请律师，寻求法庭公正裁决。
据加州公路巡警(CHP)的报告，事故发生于11月28日(星期三)天亮前(6时许)，地点
是圣地牙哥北部市区的迦密山路(Carmel Mountain Rd)与海洋清风路(Ocean Air Dr)交
叉处附近。当时一名女子驾车沿迦密山路向东行驶，并已减速，準备在下一盏红灯前停
车。这时她忽然感觉车子碰到了什么物体，下车察看才知道撞了人。

Beautiful course! Sunny LA as expected! A few hills, but nothing like SF.
Last 6 miles were the hardest. Miles 20-23 uphill, and 23-26 downhill.
Just like doing a 10K through Golden Gate park eastbound, then westbound.
Going downhill to the finish line in last mile was great, but it still felt
and looked so far away..

Paycheck（2003年的电影，根据PKD同名短篇小说改编，吴宇森导演），其中有段主角
在西雅图Union Square火车站等人，背景音火车站播音说“Eastbound Spokane, Gate
10。”我脑补了一下“开往斯波肯的火车”，貌似有趣的元科幻。
另外一次看到刘德华、巩俐演的《我知女人心》里头有个一闪而过的镜头，刘德华在沙

刘德华就把电视关了。王中林这名字我凑巧知道，是俺们那学校有名的华人科学家，不
过还没得诺奖，除了那学科的人和那学校的人以外，恐怕没几个人知道他。
