you can tell easily what did you get @ door threshold where the wood floor
terminates and transfers to other material, say ceramic tiles... since most of
the ceramic tiles nowadays are thin set glu on, it need a big wood threshold
piece to pick up the height difference |

are from Aferica or south america, even the verneer cost will be over $20/sf,
no need to mention any body could afford use them as solid wood flooring

very fast - there are lots of plantation in Thailand and Indonesia for them,
costplus even advertises rubberwood as renewal timber. with engineering
treatment they are "qualified" as hardwood for market.
if you are talking about rosewood and like, yes it's growing much much slower
and thru centuries of Chinese furnishing industry, it's source are dwindling,
for this reason more of them are used as veneer. i saw many of s |

hardwood planks need engineering treatment before they can be used, like
compression, waxing, staining and blah. engineered wood is more like a

第一，所有的木头采伐下来都要处理， 无论硬木与否， 主要是dry
compression这种treatment瓯实在孤陋寡闻没听说过， staining and bleach is same
with final look finishes, like painting
waxing欧猜你是想说factory applied anti-wearing finish,那种是高强度塑料
其实special wood treatment 最重要的一种是防腐， 一般那种绿绿的搭outdoor
decking的木头就是
木头的处理是加强其尺寸稳定性， 防腐性和美观， 要是真有种treatment 能让木头有钢
铁的强度就好了， engineer wood不是marketing term, 而是指把小块的木材加工成大材
，节约资源同时改善木头单向尺寸不稳定涨缩的缺点

下面按顺序讲讲都干了什么，
1， 揭地毯。尽量完整， 以后可以考虑用在地下室。
2， 加灯。SITTING AREA 加了一个吊灯， VAULT的天花板上加了4个RECESSED LIGHTS
，第二层的CROWN上加了ROPE LIGHTS。电线是在天花板上走的。进行电路改造要注意符
合VILLAGE的CODE。价格如下，
屋顶正中的吊扇灯，79$左右，HOME DEPOT SALE，外加WALL CONTROL 29$
吊扇灯下的Medallion， 49$， HOME DEPOT， 花纹有点杂， 但是便宜。
RECESSED LIGHT， 12$/个
ROPE LIGHTS， 共25$左右， HOME DEPOT
其它电路有关的如电线，SWITCH BOX， FLEX CONDUIT 等， 几十块钱。
3， 刷墙， 墙上的漆来自MENARDS， 厂家是PITTSBURGH PAINTS， 很便宜，颜色是
EARTHY CANE，SATIN， VAULT上的漆，同一个色系浅一个色调， 颜色是SOFT SUEDE， |

红色，我自己养水破了就是混了一点血的浅红色），odor （没有bad smell，有一点
earthy），amount (gush or trickle，一开始量大，但一会儿就小了），time (有没
有伴随宫缩）。如果扬水破了，去医院会用pH试纸测，养水应该稍稍偏碱性。看mm的情

and have been to Chicago for a couple of times.
Oklahoma is not necessarily the worst place.
The weather is in between Los Angeles and Madison.
Life is relatively boring but you can still have some fun.
Living expense is quite low.
Life style is not that earthy. (Chinese food/Shopping Center/Bar/Muesum...)
There are state parks as well where you can spend weekends there, say hiking |

去了一家餐馆，chef's tasting menu，$29/pp，很划算。
餐馆
有个open kitchen，还专门有chef's table，每天两桌，外加可能翻一次台。跟LD预约
了一桌。
第一道，开胃的，以酸为主。水是tomato water。加虾和墨鱼
第二道，炸五花肉，配香瓜。他们家的五花肉老是弄咸了
前两道开胃
第三道，肉炒饭，饭其实是lentil，肉有bacon末、pulled pork，加dried apricot回
甜。
第四道，扇贝，底下配celery和橘子puree，上面是某种生蔬菜，加脆。扇贝本身很新
鲜，弄得也嫩。
