will enter the final year of their contracts in 2014. However, Rapoport
noted that Thomas, not Sherman, will be the first priority for a big-money
deal.
Sherman will get paid huge eventually, but prioritizing Thomas says a lot.
We heard from many Seahawks this week that Thomas is the leader of this
defense. He's the player that the team couldn't live without.

打个不算特别恰当但是比较好理解的比方，假设我们从中国乘飞机飞往美国－－飞
到关岛了，这的确是美国，但是离其本土还差十万八千里呢，好比《大宪章》刚刚
颁布，离真正的法治和民主的路还任重道远；等飞到夏威夷了，这也的确是美国，
可是上面除了毛利土著、日裔华裔、海军大兵和旅游者之外，要想看看典型的美国
人恐怕还是找错了地方，这好比Simon De Montfort和Edward I时期议会刚刚试运
转，机制开始建立，模子已经越来越成型了，但还不能算货真价实；只有飞过了落
山鸡，才是真正地到了美国，好比经过了光荣革命，英国以至近代的法治和民主才
真正地落到了实处；不过实际上加州到处西裔亚裔印度裔犹太裔人士成群，其美国
味道仍然欠一点火候，还得开一阵远路四处兜兜才成，好比光荣革命后的三百年人
类的继续探索和完善补充．回头看看离着十万八千里的关岛，虽然你尽可以嘲笑那
地方如何挂羊头卖狗肉，但那是大家都不得不走过的路，也是一个明白无误昭示方

既然天主教和基督教（或新教，更正教）都是基督教的正统，那它们的争执在什么地方
呢？马丁· 路德1517年开始的宗教改革是划时代的事件。多数历史学家认为欧洲现代
时代从1500年开始，而宗教改革是欧洲进入现代时期的一个主要驱动力。宗教改革出现
有许多因素，包括政治、经济、知识、道德、社会结构、哲学或神学等；详细讨论可以
参看【11】。但是宗教改革的因素最重要的有二个方面。1）天主教认为教廷和圣经有
同样权威。新教不认同这一点，只承认圣经的权威。2)教廷的腐败，例如卖赎罪券和买
卖教职。宗教改革领导人例如马丁· 路德和加尔文认为只有圣经是正确的，罗马教廷
的权威没有圣经的根据。另外，基督教认为一般教徒可以自己读懂圣经不需要教廷的指
引。基督教的各派一般都鼓励教徒自己读圣经。在宗教改革以前，罗马教廷不容许人们

多举办新年音乐会

的．班上几位ＳｕｒｆｉｎｇＸＸＸ可能例外，Earl Warren是极少开surf PE课的．培
养小孩成surfing高手的可以考虑．

没了wilson，就回到5年前。没了et3，防传就处处漏风。没了Wagner，防跑就底气不足
。et3跟wagner是防守的中轴，两大anchor。去年wagner不在，已经证明了第三。今年
ET3的缺阵，证明了第二。看下面数据：

，Single high safety，吊打两边，保安必然鞭长莫及，除非是Earl Thomas。当然蛇
人能锁住一边，也帮了Thomas大忙。这个星期没有蛇人，刚好猎鹰没有主力跑锋
Freeman。看看是否海鹰还会单挂Thomas还是cover2挂俩保安。

Ginevra 是Guinevere的意大利语。Guinevere在亚瑟王的故事里面是亚瑟王的王后。
Guinevere的意思是“白，美丽，圣洁的仙（女）”。JKR在构建哈利波特这个人物的时
候汲取了很多亚瑟王的元素，构建哈利波特的老婆这个人物的时候用了一些亚瑟王的王
后的元素也是必然的。
说起来亚瑟王的故事的发展也是一个很有意思的故事，12世纪的时候，有个叫Geoffrey
of Monmouth的，写了一本《不列颠列王传》献给他的领主，Robert, 1st Earl of
Gloucester。 这个Gloucester也是Beattrix Potter写的《The tailor of Gloucester
》的故事发生的地方，也是哈利波特的作者出生的地方。《不列颠列王传》从Hermione

这一转眼的我都已经来伦敦一个月了。渐渐对这个城市多了些许熟悉，少了很多新奇。
Piccadilly地铁线把学校和宿舍这两个重要的元素连接在一起，构成了我纯粹而单调的
学生生活。
每天早上从Clayponds出发，从老钱窗前那片巨大墓地间的小道穿过，再走十分钟，路
过一个名叫Friday的酒吧，若干个标明清真字样的餐馆，和一个叫Co-op的超市，就差
不多到South Ealing 地铁站了。Piccadilly地铁从希斯罗机场开过来，经过这里，再
横穿伦敦市中心，开往东北方向。离学校最近的地铁站是South Kensington，但因为它
在市中心的Zone 1，地铁票价要比坐到Zone 1 和Zone 2交界的Earl's Court贵好多。
所以大多数Clayponds的中国学生，比如我和阿骏，都选择坐到Earl's Court，再走路
15分钟到学校。
这一条省钱金法则并不适用于贾雯雯，她相当奢侈的买了Zone 1-3的月票，每天坐到
South Ken，然后走路5分钟就能到学校。按她的话说，坐到Earl's Court再走15分钟不

。马礼逊(R0bertMorrison，1782—1834)，英国伦敦会传教士。出身较贫苦，1804年5
月向伦敦布道会报名，自愿为国外宣教师，随即被送进宣教学院接受十四个月的训练。
1807年1月8日被授为牧师，1月31日被派遣来中国。他于1月31日从伦敦出发，三个月后
到达美国纽约，在美国政府的协助下，搭乘美国同孚洋行老板奥立芬的三叉号鸦片走私
船，绕道南美洲经太平洋先到澳门，当年(嘉庆十二年)9月7日到达广州
