离开了这个国家，飘去了Valinor. Dwarves大举进攻Doriath,
惨烈的战争爆发了。最后Dwarves取得了胜利，他们重新抢走了Silmaril。Doriath也因为
战争而变得一塌糊涂。
但Doriath的讯息传到了Beren的耳朵里。于是他召集了他的儿子Dior和很多周围的Elves,
拦截住Dwarves, 歼灭了他们的主力，并夺回了Silmaril.
从此，Silmaril重新归回了Luthien, Luthien一直戴着它直到死去。而他们的儿子Dior则
来到了Doriath, 作为Thingol的唯一后裔，成为Doriath新的国王。
多年后的一天，一具棺材抬到了Dior的面前。他打开一看，里面是一枚Silmaril. 于是他
知道他的父母已经死去了。
Silmaril传到Dior那里，由Dior戴着。他娶了妻子，生有两个儿子Elured和Elurin, 还有
一个女儿，名叫Elwing. |

其实不单单是对这个问题有兴趣，很多东西我觉得都是可以联系在一起的。
最近在读lord of the rings。当然那是个想象中的世界，但是很有感触的是：
里面不管是men，elves，dwarves，ents，hobbits，一切的自由人，全都
对自己是一个man，elf，dwarf，ent，或者hobbit，感到自豪。我觉得剥
夺一个人可以做他自己的自豪感，是一件很不人道的事儿。这个东西，不仅
仅是同性恋异性恋的问题，同性恋异性恋只是一个特别典型的例子。就好比
我们在国外的少数族裔，为什么反对种族歧视呢？因为种族歧视就是剥夺我
作为一个中国人的自豪感。以前看过mit上一个讨论，一个华裔家庭因为家
里的儿子出柜，从排斥抗拒同性恋到接受，到感到骄傲的事儿。然后有人就
说，觉得他们最后觉得骄傲特别矫情。我就觉得人家为可以做自己而骄傲，
有什么不对的？而且那个家庭之后非常热心同性恋的维权，其实是勇敢的做
了很多别人不敢做的事情。就为这个，也够他们骄傲的了。
们这些能说地道中文的同志的集体沉默

Elves, Men 和Dwarves都用纹徽,ARMOR等来表示不同所属。就象中世纪的欧洲诸国。纹徽
很多时候是用在旗帜上， 所以一般是用醒目和简单的图形，战场上好辩认。不过精灵的
纹徽一般都很复杂， 无论如何他们眼睛好看得清。呵呵。人，DWARF和别的CREATURE
的纹徽就简单很多。
但是精灵们纹徽的初衷应该不是为了战争，他们本不会与战争相联系，如果NOLDOR的孩子
们象Teleri或Vanya一样乖乖听话，就会在Blessed Realm快乐永久。
精灵的纹徽设计法则是：
菱形代表男领主，圆形代表女领主，方形是指家族或国家；领主地位越高图案外沿的"poi
nts"越多，国王6－8个角，王子一般4个角。 最古老的Elven kings之一Finwen是16

hench. need a lot cooperation, etc. fighting against waves of enemy dwarves
first, then waves of jade armor and mursaat.
we finished it rather easily though, two people in charge of the ballistic
on left and right side (2 each), one guy in charge of litting beacon(I dont
think he did it though), rest just gather in the middle, fight enemies from
either side when they come. |

是光明和黑暗的终极对抗。所以，主题高度有了差别，场景和拍摄技巧无论如何高明，

弥漫于天地、吞噬一切生灵的黑色毁灭之神；最大正能量转身即为最大负能量，十分惊
心动魄。今天和小孩一起又复习一遍，惊奇地发现从开头到结尾不断让我想起也是刚复
习的《指环王》系列。
开场时Emishi村民四散奔逃，恐惧地等待村子边缘、树林深处的怪物出现。但见树叶簌
簌，似有黑色液体渗出。枝叶摇晃加剧，一个巨怪挟排山倒海之势从林中跳出，奔跑隳
突。所到之处，人仰马翻，鸡飞狗跳，鬼哭狼嚎……这让我想起《The Hobbit》里的巨
龙Smaug，也是黑暗势力的先锋代表，初次亮相时也洗劫Dwarves的城堡，后来又洗劫
Laketown水乡。每次洗劫都跟《幽灵公主》里的野猪先锋一样呈雷霆万钧、摧枯拉朽之
势。
野猪和巨龙的下场也一样：都是被人类精英用利箭射死的。Hobbit里的Bard借助儿子射
死巨龙的场面惊心动魄，令人屏息难忘；而日本动画更充满辩证意味：野猪是中了砍伐
森林、制造枪炮的人类下的铅毒而疯狂攻击人类的。他的满腔仇恨在他死后转移到杀他

次考虑强行逼迫Dior交还出Silmaril。他们写了一封信给Dior, 说Silmaril是他们的父亲
Feanor制造的，所以要求Dior无条件地还给他们。因为他们为自己的誓言所束，如果Dior
不交出来，他们只好诉诸以武力。
但Dior当然不愿意，因为这枚Silmaril是他的父母亲手从Morgoth宝座上取下来的，而且
因为它，Thingol死去，Doriath败在Dwarves手里。现在Silmaril传到他的手里，如此的
珍贵，他怎么可能轻易交出。因此他断然拒绝了Feanor儿子们的要求。
于是，Elves之间的第二次屠杀开始了。Feanor的儿子组成的联军在一个晚上突然进攻Dor
iath, 刀光血影之间，无数的Elves都死去了。Dior虽然杀死了Celegorm,
Curufin和Caranthir, 但自己最后也倒在刀剑下。Doriath的Elves最后四散逃亡，在这里
，Dior的儿子Elured和Elurin失踪了，以后也再没出现过。

Thror，电影中的老国王统治Erebor，后被巨龙Smaug灭国流亡（hobbit电影开头的介绍
）。
多年后，老年的Thror精神错乱，自己一个人去早已废弃的矮人古国Moria（lotr里的地
下王国），被当时占据Moria的goblin首领Azog所杀。
Thror之死直接引发了“矮人兽人之战（the War of the Dwarves and Orcs）”。
Thror的儿子Thrain召集各处的矮人王国汇集所有的力量，为Thror报仇（hobbit电影中
有闪回）。
在Moria门前的最后决战中，Thrain重伤，Thror的表兄弟Nain被Azog所杀，而Nain的儿
子Dain和Azog决斗并将其杀死（电影中把这个给了Thorin，而且设定为Azog未死……）
。但是矮人们并没有乘胜攻下Moria，因为Dain杀死Azog后，在Moria的入口处看到了在

觉得长，感觉没看够。
我本人是LOTR的粉丝，LOTR三部经常没事就拿出来复习一下的。这个HOBBIT第一部给我
最大的感受就是它回答了我一个看过LOTR之后最大的疑问，就是who the heck are the
dwarves?
在LOTR里，其它的种族，man，elf，hobbit，orcs，甚至亡灵都有了比较详细的交代，
唯独dwarf，只有一个grimly在那撑场面。至于dwarf的背景故事只是隐隐约约的提到一
些，让我感到很好奇。而这次the hobbit第一部，详细的介绍了dwarf种族的故事，让
我了解了dwarf王国的兴衰。几个矮人特别是Thorin，和Barin这两个人物，给我留下深
深的印象。Thorin就不用说了，矮人第一勇士而且有情有义。巴林在LOTR里的第一部提
到过，说是grimly的cousin，但是当他们到达moria时，巴林早已战死了。原来是个须
发皆白的老头呀，呵呵。
dwarf唱的那个misty mountain的歌曲真是优美呀，听起来是那么的古老，凄美，深沉

发帖数: 82482 | 25 周末又跟孩子们看了一遍《Star Wars》，我这是第n遍的复习了。每次看都有一些不同
的感受。
我第一次看的时候，估计也就跟我孩子们差不多大的时候，那个时候就光注意动作打斗
，太空船和激光枪了，对于人物，历史还有world building是没有怎么上心的。
之后几十年，断断续续的又看过几遍，每次都有一些不同的领会，随着时间和阅历的变
化，对于这个系列也逐渐有了不同的体会。一开始的时候，对于Jedi和resistance非常
崇拜，对于Sith和empire恨之入骨，但是，随着对于这个星战universe的进一步了解，
对于银河共和国，Jedi和Sith的进一步了解以后，对于好人坏人的评价逐渐就没有那么
黑白分明了。
后来，看了一些评论，注意到了卢卡斯的这个星战系列跟瓦格纳的《尼泊龙根指环》（
Ring Cycle）系列的一些类似之处。在这里再提一下。
以前，倒是有很多人类比LOTR和Ring Cycle，毕竟这两者之间的相似程度很高，很自然
地就容易把LOTR看成通俗版地Ring Cycle，对于星战和Ring Cycle地相似程度倒是很少

TTT. lotr is rather dense, like a secret garden fenced with tall thick trees.
Once went through it, lots of fun inside. Tolkien was a very good visioner
and dreamer. It's not what was written but how it was written that charmed
readers. I tried other fantasis like Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan's which also
had dwarves and elves those races and wars and adventures, but they were
simply not good.

poor arwen mm. i'd rather cheer over aragon's wedding than mourn over arwen's
death. one can be both 'sad and gay'. there's no question about it.
the writers are like the dwarves who make the mithil armors, or the elves who
make the swords. and then the armors and the swords will be buried
underground, in a goblin infested mine, behind a spell-protected door.
and one day our good friend bilbo stumbled upon them and wrote LotR! :) |

in a hurry to meet someone. He had brought back a large bag. There must be
