请问你是怎么探测这个stud的宽度的？
因为螺钉需要定在stud的中间最好。有的stud比较窄，所以螺钉的位置非常重要。
有几个旧螺钉已经脱落了，就是原先钉的时候位置不完全对。
淘洞的方案，也可以。如果attic里面可以看到drywood的话，可以不可以上到attic
里面去垫上木条木板，这样不用淘洞了？

上面写Drywood Termite All Over The Places，还有很多地下白蚁的问题。第一次买

Drywood termite不接触土壤，只能fumigation才能杀绝。 问题Condo有那么多家，
没法让大家都搬出后把房子罩起来烟薰。
Drywood termites generally live, feed and nest in undecayed wood which has a
very low moisture content. Unlike subterranean termites, they do not
require any contact with the soil in order to live. Thus, they can seriously
damage movable wooden objects． |

I would get an exterminator to identify the species and determine whether it
's subterranean or drywood. If it's subterranean, they probably infested the
wood stack from a path to the ground, and may not be in your deck if built
properly. If they're drywood, they could have already been in the wood when
you got it. Drywood termites don't need a path to ground, don't mind redwood

打电话问一查白蚁的专家，听完我的描述，基本上就判断不是白蚁也不是蚂蚁。
1、季节不对。一般swarmer是春季，秋季有，很少。
2、数量不对。如果发现，应该是一群一群，所谓swarmer。
3、位置不对。南方一般有2种白蚁: drywood 跟formasa。后者是台湾引进品种，从地下
土壤生长，然后swarmer发生，应该首先在一楼发现。前者drywood虽然不是从地下繁殖
，但其生长周期为4年，一般在10年的房子里很少见，老房子可能性比较大。所以都排除
了。
把图片发过去，更加确认，无论体型、体色、触须长度、还是翅膀纹路，都可以确认既
不是白蚁，也不是蚂蚁。
网上搜索了半天，发现是webspinner（学名Embioptera，又称footspinner）的可能性很
大。

外两处rafter的末端也有drywood termite。用orange oil处理，要价$1500。
处理之后木头还是得换。我想能不能让roofer换roof时直接把木头换了，省掉这$1500

$6000 以下还算正常。 理由是drywood termite 修理费要$1500~$2000 depends on 房
子大小。subterranean termite 修理费要$1000~$1500.其他 Fungus 修理费$2500 左
右很普遍。 如果你自己找handyman 或contractor 来修Fungus的话，大概一般左右费
用就差不多了。 |

Drywood白蚁吃住都在木头里，药水打不进去，需要把房子找起来用烟薰， fumigation
. 其实除白蚁不贵，一般SFH 2-4K就可以搞定fumigation. 但是condo比较麻烦，因为
owner只拥有自己室内的空间。 Fumigation需要几天，而且不能住人， 整个building
搬空fumigation对condo来说问题很大。
如果是subterranean termites就比较容易了， 白蚁巢穴在地上土里， 直接在土里打
药或者打孔打药。 这种白蚁Condo也没有问题， 很容易处理，费用也很便宜。
600/月的HOA对于绝大多数Condo来说也是很贵的，SF市除外。东湾的２／３ 卧Condo
HOA上４００就不算便宜， 上500肯定算贵的， 600/月肯定算很贵的HOA。 这么贵的
Condo HOA要小心一些， 建议看看HOA的BUDGET等文件， 看看小区HOA有多少reserve

在房基上每隔一两个FEET钻个眼然后喷药，是杀后者的；杀前者需要做fumigation，就
是把整个房子包起来灌气，也就是常说的tent。
你这房子还挺新的，即使有termite也不会造成很大的损害，如果发现有的话做一次
fumigation就好了，因为１年前做过subterranean termite treatment就不用马上再做了

Swarm最好保留下
来鉴定一下是那一类白蚁，一般来讲美国主要是subterranean termite 和 drywood
termite。
前者危害比较大，但是前者需要有潮湿地下的巢穴，所以pest controller 才会检查你
的房子边缘有
没有mud tunnel。但是mud tunnel也不一定在房子边缘，也可能在隐蔽的缝隙和房子地
基和下水管
道的连接处。你问问他两年$1600的处理费用包括什么？如果只是房子周围加barrier和
bait那么你自
己也可以搞而且应该比他干的好。因为我最近在自家花园地里发现subterranean
termite所以正在
准备自己防治。
