我们原来一直用电的。新住的地方只有gas dryer接口，于是买了新的gas dryer。可是
发现如果laundry room的门关一段时间（一两个小时）之后，laundry room 里就能闻
到一股怪味道－－不知道是什么味道，像是煤气、煤油、汽油。。。如果laundry room
的门一直开着保持通风，就基本没有味道了。
开始我们很害怕是煤气泄露，于是打电话给dryer 的客服，让安装的人员又来看了以下
。（因为我们害怕真是煤气泄露，所以laundry room的门一直开着通风，他们来的时候
没有闻到怪味）安装人员用了一包湿的东西测试了一下，看上去像是soap bubble测设
。发现没有gas泄露。于是把管道接口紧了紧就走了。可是现在怪味道没什么改观－－
依旧是如果laundry room的门关一会儿就会有味道。。。
我们之前从来没用过gas dryer，不知道这种味道是不是正常？或者是不是新的gas
dryer 有此问题，用久了就好了？请大家share经验。谢谢！！ |

发帖数: 2823 | 12 洗衣房烘干的时候发现湿气都出来了，移动dryer发现原始管子破了，这种是类似于硬
铝皮的“软”管，去HD买了一个同样的，拉开dryer按好，往里一推又挤破了。估计以
前的安装工也是这样的遭遇。前任房主凑合用了。
洗衣房空间太小，必须推到位，可这样的位置，就超出了铝皮管所能弯曲的极限，形成
死弯破了。
看YouTube，有一种说法是dryer的管子除了这种铝皮的软管，还有一种类似锡箔纸的软
管，更软，也可以工作在dryer上。
可另一个视频却说：这种更软的铝制锡箔纸软管，高温气体容易导致燃烧，不但示范了
打火机点燃，而且还展示了几个明显烤黄的旧管。
在亚马逊发现这种锡箔纸式样的铝制软管，是可以用在dryer的。

发帖数: 3319 | 13 多谢。我的kenmore elite He4t washer坏了。但kenmore elite dryer 还很好，是非
电子版的那种。想买现在front load 的洗衣机，但如果烘干机一起买，可以有$300
rebate, 而且delivery fee 是一样的，所以就动心是否要把烘干机也一起换了。
好处：配套washer/dryer看着好看些。新dryer有steam, sensor dry功能。不知这些新
的功能是否很有用。
坏处：新的dryer 是 electronic board控制，怕不如现有的dryer耐用,这种电子板可
能容易坏。即便买extended warranty也最多只能买5年warranty. |

Filter附近很脏，棉絮絮啥的，想清理，跑到Sears去问了一下，说大致叫Dryer Vent
Cleaning Brush之类的，我搜了一下，大致是这个样子的：

几次没甩干就停了），准备换新的。请教几个问题
1. WS一点，现在火线入党HMS home warranty，他们能管么？我知道是30天
waiting period，但是他们对于这种老东西是一次次来修（每次charge一个fee），还
是说来一两次会换新的？房子close了一年两个月了，一直没有warranty。
2. 要换新的话，大家推荐top load还是side load的洗衣机啊？我有个想法想把地
下室的那个half bath扩成一个full bath，但是那样的话估计没办法并排放washer+
dryer，只能stack on了。有人这么做么？side load的洗衣机会不会有漏水的风险？
3. 曾经看过一些washer和dryer的deal，发现除了lowes和HD会包安装，其他都不
包，而且order的时候还有很多附件管道啥的不知道应不应该一起买。我现在是washer+

promotion (washer + dryer)，然后去homedepot pricematch - 10%，最后大概1350左
右吧。不过homedepot会很详细的查competitor的promotion，把shipping什么的全都加
上。
另外一款是samsung的210,同理，去lowes pricematch-10%很爽快，最后不到950搞定（

家里电表好像是40A的，够不够家用电器同时使用？ -- if you talked about single cicuit, yes, I think the min requirement for a dryer is 30A. if you talked about the whole house, hmm. I have 120A for my main board, and two seperate ones. So I guess the answer is no.

坑爹啊。
自己把4孔的插座装上去了，ground还没接，先这么用着吧（反正dryer上ground和
neutral已经接在一起了）。下次有空了再折腾。

你把dryer接墙的这个管道拆下来。开始烘，如果洗衣房里一片蒸汽，说明dryer是好的
，这个管道要清了。找清AC的公司清就可以了，他们会拿个大吸尘器把里面的东西吸掉。
如果洗衣房没什么蒸汽，说明dryer有问题了（前提是那个滤网已经清赶紧了） |
