there--AI, TD. The rest of the team are not that good, probably top 50. But
other countries also have good players. If TG, KB, Shark come, it's still
a dream team.
Nowadays, as more and more international players play in the league, the
difference between nba players and international players are not that big. I

以前都没注意过。
手触球后，没拍球落地之前，脚可移动一次。
如果后卫会传球，Dream不需要别的招，就接球这一下，
现在的中锋80%我看都会被一下子挡在身后，
然后Dream就可以面对空篮了。
看来中锋的技术相当复杂，不比PG,SG之类技术要求低。
虽然从触球到投篮往往没几步，没几秒时间。 |

上次看俄罗斯芭蕾演员Margot Fonteyn的《Romeo and Juliet》，有人推荐Alessandra
Ferri的《Romeo and Juliet》和《Giselle》。图书馆只借到Ferri表演的《The
Dream》——就是A Midsummer Night’s Dream，正巧以前也写过，是英国著名芭蕾编
导Sir Frederick Ashton（Royal Ballet的founder choreographer）执导的《仲夏夜
之梦》缩短本。以前看的是业余舞蹈团的表演，有青春的生涩、新鲜与活泼；这次看专

发帖数: 2070 | 11 前一段时间看了Lisa See 的两本书：《Shanghai Girls》 和《Dreams of Joy》，两
本书是姐妹篇。非常惊讶于这个土生土长于美国的人能把30-60年代的中国写得那么逼
真。
《Shanghai Girls》讲30年代一对上海的富家姐妹，本来在上海有富足的生活，却因为
父亲突然破产而被卖给了一个移民美国的广东人，这个人是来中国给他的儿子们买老婆
再带去美国的。故事一开始讲两姐妹在十里洋场的奢华生活，然后急转直下到上海的沦
陷，父亲失踪，两姐妹和母亲逃离上海，姐姐和母亲被日本宪兵强奸，母亲因此丧命。
写母亲离世时的细节非常令人动容。最后两姐妹走投无路，只好找出广东人留给她们的
船票，从香港出发去旧金山。书的后半部分就是讲两姐妹在洛杉矶中国城的生活，这一
部分的背景非常真实，因为作者就是在那儿长大的。
《Dreams of Joy》讲第二代的故事。姐姐的女儿（其实是妹妹的私生女）在大学参加
有共产主义色彩的小团体，又偶尔知道了自己的身世，执意回到了50年代上海帮助建设
新中国和寻找亲生父亲。

发帖数: 4637 | 12 Obsession在英文语境里大部分情况下是贬义词，难过，人在江湖身不由己。走火入魔
反而在中文语境下是褒义，着迷，被勾了魂，散失自我。当然也有骂人痴的意思。
回到英文和你的话，dream 很多时候是wishful thinking. 向往、激动、内心驱使，但
痴的程度远没有到散失自我那一步。但很容易流露矫情的和与现实脱节的东西。
Obsession是自然的流露，不矫情。
我宁可要走火入魔，也不要矫情的dream, wishful thinking.
因为英文obsession本身带有贬义，写那段话的人很容易选dream 不选 obsession.
放到 梦想 和 入魔 来选边，还真不好说。

crossover，还有 operatic pop。楼主不妨借鉴参考参考。
不过话说这首 I dreamed a dream 怎么听都是适合 mezzo soprano
的嗓子。俺去 youtube 听了 Hayley Westenra 唱的版本，都已经
re-arrange 过了，效果还是差强人意。
要知道俺老汉觉得 Hayley Westenra 有着 angel 一样的 voice，
外加 re-arrange，外加现场大乐队，也就只能到达那个效果。俺不得不说，
这个苦大仇深的《俺梦过一个梦》实在是为 mezzo soprano 量身定做的，
俺猜也许 dramatic soprano 可能可以凑个热闹。任何 lighter voice
soprano 估计都难。
Hayley Westenra 都只能唱到那个效果，楼主能唱到这个效果，真的很赞了。
这个苦大仇深的歌，lighter soprano 貌似没法跟苏婶顶牛 ………… |

i agree with wendy that the dream is not much related to grandma,
probably rather that old kitchen is intrenched in the back of my head.
indeed i didn't feel sympathetic in the dream but was horrified and
woke up. what shocked me indeed was 冷血同类的互相残杀
it's also rather unexpected: how often do you see a fish pick up a knife?!
but i also kind of felt i was one of those fish in the dream.
and i don't know why the other fish is so neatly cut into |

新年一二】， 有一就应该有二。
刚刚从Disney回来， 在Magic Kingdom最先看的是过节的表演"Dream along with
Mickey". 只见在线多莉娜城堡前的舞台上小动物们又蹦又跳，王子和公主们翩翩起舞
，整个一个美好梦幻的景象。 正当大家都沉浸生活的美好之中，代表邪恶的女巫婆从
烟雾中升起，刺耳的尖叫着，要阻止人们的美梦成真。 这时，小动物们和巫婆展开了
激烈的搏斗， 并且邀请观众的加入。 让大家大喊三声“Dreams will come true”。
最后， 女巫婆被战败，世界又回到平和喜乐。
我注意到与巫婆搏斗时，冲锋在前的是大大咧咧的唐老鸭。 有些感想，人这个东西，
有时不如纯真的小动物那么容易相信美梦成真。 容易并所谓的困难吓倒，也因此失去
了许多快乐的机会。
看本贴，每人必须口念三遍 “Dreams will come true.”

发表了一些论文，老板在业界还算比较牛。
从年初开始找工业界工作，半年前开始高强度大面积撒网。
有过dream company的technical电面，有过相关领域大企业的电面，接到过dream
company的HR问询，甚至有过一次去行业内大企业的onsite，另外还有几封recruiter的
邮件和电话。到现在，依然没有着落。有的只是那些熟悉的字眼：xx is not pursuing
your candidacy; unfortunately;thank you for your interest;although your
experience...不知道究竟是哪个环节出了问题。
手头还有些活儿在干，最晚五月毕业，明年开始应该不会有financial aid。
常常怀疑那些制造业的工作到底在哪里，究竟是哪些大牛拿到了那些offer，甚至工作
对于我来说是不是只是一种传说？
自信前所未有的低，办事效率出奇地差，似乎觉得幸运从来没有降临在我头上，虽然我
知道我肯定不是一个人。

very far with the book.
I know Dr. Clara E. Hill has an interest in dream interpretation in therapy.
She has around 30 publications regarding it. I think the one below should be
fun reading.

I have a dream，这是大家都会的口头禅，也知道是马丁路德金在演说中讲的。可是，
真正听过他的演讲，看过他的演讲稿，又有多少人呢？这份演讲稿所传递的讯息，结合
中国民众现在所面临的现实，可以明确的说：今天，我们中国民众的命运与40多年以前
美国黑人的命运拥有许多的共同点。我们民众依然没有真正的自由，也没有民主，更没
有实际意义的投票权。普通的民众个人财产得不到有效的法律保障。普通民众的尊严得
不到尊重。普通民众的生存依然异常艰难。我们的政府独裁专权，欺压民众，法治成为
空谈；官员缺乏监督，无官不贪，不断侵食民众利益。
同为人，我们中国人也有自己的梦想。40多年前，美国黑人民权领袖做到了，21世纪的
中国民众依然生活在没有民权的极权社会里。是我们无能吗？是我们不为吗？都不是。
是我们各自只顾自己，一盘散沙，被极权统治捆绑到一起，给予些许利益均占，成了既
得利益者，成了维护专权的棋子，也是专权的受害者。
民权思想已经在中国民众中扎下根，要发育成长，就要丢掉对中共专权的幻想。这样的

一楼要有主卧，平时活动就在一楼了，或者留给父母住。二楼要有主卧。这样和父母分
开，比较方便。一楼还需要一个厕所给客人用。二楼还需要一个厕所给小朋友用。地下
室搞成电影酒吧，需要一个厕所，不然来回跑多不方便。洗了澡，裹着浴巾就能躺着看
电影了。
所以一共需要5个厕所。一楼一定要有主卧，老住楼上还不方便。家里几个人都在楼梯
上摔过了，好在父母还没来。
