My passenger side rear door won't lock or unlock automatically, no matter by
key fob, door switch on driver front door, or even key turning. I can lock
and unlock that door manually from the internal. The other three door work
well. And whenever I tried to activate the automatic door locking/unlocking,
I can't hear the locking/unlocking sound from that P rear door which I can

in MA?
We are remodeling our house and trying to build a sliding door facing our
deck. Our house has a front door, a door for the basement. This sliding door
will be the 3rd exterior door locating at the rear.
The inspector from the town came and left a note that the sliding door is
too small. The door is measured as 5 feet in width and 8 feet in height. The

only works for the driver-side door and the right-rear passenger door, not
for the other two doors (from passenger and left-rear passenger doors).
Also, the inside lock/unlock control on the driver door also have that

新房子住进去不到两个月，shower door爆炸了。
我洗完澡出来，手刚握住把手要开shower door，就碰的一声，玻璃全碎满地，身上都
是小玻璃碴子。完全没有征兆，完全意想不到。。。。
手破了，我战战兢兢的出来，浦路掉身上的玻璃碴子，胡乱套上衣服，上urgent care
，医生给缝了针，我一直在哭，特别疼。。。。
从urgent care出来，联系了builder，说明了情况，我说很concern这个safety，问他
能不能换成好安全的玻璃，builder回短信，那意思让我自己出钱。。。
惊魂过后，还得自己收拾满地玻璃碴子，这几天都不敢在那洗澡了，只能换个浴室洗。
我想真诚的请教大家，这个事，是不是应该builder负责，我也不想告builder啥的，但

就说鼻屎国李家坡，那个公交才是勉强可以称作是door to door。
冷气开的足，车里不准吃喝（罚款很重，哪怕喝水）基本上没有异味。还有车站到小区
和菜场以及商场，基本都有雨棚走廊天桥覆盖，基本不淋雨不晒太阳。只要你愿意转车
，车站到楼的距离不会超过500米，一般也就美国停车场到楼那个距离。
做到这个，还是需要，有钱，有钱，更有钱
天朝的规划和人口，再过100年也做不到。
李家坡那种可以叫做door to door，可以和开车这种掐，也可以装逼说环保，说发展，
说人文，各种高达上逼都可以装

冰箱长时间也不会坏。side by side 开冰柜门时冷气容易出来，所以费电，冷冻效果
也没有french door好。
french door是比side by side贵，但是如果能等到店里有sale，还是不错的。我去年
11月底买的samsong的stainless french door (wator through the door) 才1200多，
加税和4年extend waranty也才1400多。
counter depth纯粹是为了好看，因为跟counter一样宽，不会凸出来一块，但是容积小
，而且价格也要贵很多，感觉不值。 |

between door threshold and the tile?
I have several ideas:
1. leave a small gap between tiles and existing door threshold. Then cover
the gap with a transition strip or reducer.
2. Remove door threshold. Lay tiles beneath and only extend into that area a
little bit. Then bend the inside part of the door threshold to fit tiles
and put it back.

去年2-Door GTI刚出的时候去试驾了一辆6MT w/ sunroof，感觉发动机强力有劲，几乎
感觉不到Turbo lag，close-ratio 6 speed挡位合理，换档准确毫不费力。2个缺点就
是sunroof使得头部空间有些局促，还有后排进出实在是不方便。
后来听说VW终于决定在US推出4-Door GTI，可惜一直没有机会test drive。昨天心血来
潮给dealer打了个电话，得知有一辆4-Door in stock, 刚运到,就立刻决定去test
drive.
到了dealer那一看,一辆black magic pearl的4-Door, 唯一的option就是DSG, 车上蒙
的白色的纸还没有揭掉. 我想没有天窗正合我意,就是不知道DSG怎么样,试试再说. 接

talking about frameless setup here.
What size doors, are you replacing old ones or just install a new one?
My trim carpenter charge me $20 per door to install just to give you some
ideas. That is a pre-hung door, so he does have to drill the door lock or
router the hinges. |

转动导致一个齿轮断裂 （竟然是塑料齿轮！）
昨晚齿轮到货（$38），花了整整3个小时。先将门上弹簧全部松开，门的两边重新对齐
，绞盘钢丝上好，然后将弹簧上劲。试试手动开门，轻轻一拉开关自如。
最后将新的齿轮换上，测试Garage Door opener 开关转动正常，然后将铰链上好。最
后是调整Garage Door opener 开门和关门铰链提升的高度。
大功告成，省了多少银子不知道，但感觉很爽。 |

要换11扇窗户+1个patio door，今天去San Diego Door & Window问了一下，包工包料
，labor一扇窗户200左右，窗户用最最最basic的viynl double pane那种（连energy
efficient都达不到，我们没想用energy efficient，最基本的就可以了，说这个就是
做个比较），patio door也是最普通的sliding door，全部是standard size，给的
quote $12,380, 给了一堆showroom折扣以后是$8,120. 觉得还是贵了一点。有没有人
换过窗户的，能不能推荐个便宜点的窗户牌子跟contractor？谢谢！ |
