，现在最后选择去哪里定不下来
有继续读phd的打算，但是一定不能再拿家理钱读了。umich是很好，但是不知道几乎把
家里钱都花光了去那里读是不是值得。clemson的排名也不错，汽车方向也是有特色的
。old dominion国内知名度不高，对于将来如果回国的话，不知道国内认可度怎么样。
想听听大家的意见，谢谢啦。。。 |

有研究中心在old dominion旁边．如果继续读phd，再到umich。
美国这边的汽车方向和国内不一样。如果去工业界，只要是200名之前的学校都可以。
而且，不是说你没有汽车的北进不能去汽车公司。
我是吉林工大汽车的，十几年前毕业的。现在和一群umich毕业的老美，老因，老中工
作。当年， 我选了给我全将的“烂校“。

发帖数: 10098 | 15 今天我们也收到了这样的信。 其实这个信是从Dominion发给我们的， 他们把信封窗口
设计得好像是从NStar发给他们顾客的样子，有点以假乱真的效果。
至于为什么他们要宣传一个更便宜的发电费，这个和麻省最近的Enegy Deregulation政
策有关。理解不对的地方欢迎大家指正。
按照我的考古， 这个行业的利润是被输电寡头National Grid, NSTAR 垄断了。 这2个
公司只是负责输送和服务，卖给我们这些retail直接用户。他们自己也发电的那部分business因为Deregulation被迫卖掉。 Enegy Deregulation政策allow其他风力发电厂，太阳能发电厂，烧煤发电厂的产出在市场上自由拍卖竞价。

downtown DC, also want to take them to an amusement park type of place. I am
thinking of choosing from Six Flags, Hershey park, King dominion, or Busch
Garden. But I only went to Busch Garden, not the other places. Anyone wants to
make some suggestions.
BTW, they are in early 40s, but like travel, have been to many places in
China, and west coast US.

would not refund the difference to me, but they issued a prepaid return

今天跟pqwer说过，要仔细说说《Solaris》的。首先，澄清一下版本问题：
一开始是波兰科幻作家斯坦尼斯瓦夫·列姆（Stanislaw Lem）的1961年的小说，根据这个改编了好几个版本的电影，其中，苏联导演安德烈·塔可夫斯基（Andrei Tarkovsky）的1972年电影最收好评，获得了1972年的嘎纳电影大奖。最近的一部改编是2002年Steven Soderberg版本的，主演是大帅哥George Clooney。
电影是很早以前看的，细节可能有些出入，但是大致情节应该是可靠的。下面正式开始故事。

不好意思又来麻烦大家了！这次国内那小孩又拿到了uic的bioinformatics offer,
这次他有点迟疑，这专业有点偏CS。
另一个offer是CS@Old Dominion University，但是还是做生物相关的研究
他很犹豫，好歹uic的ranking不错，Old Dominion University的综排比较靠后，但是
CS的专业排名在NRC上查是排40。而且很多人说CS毕业了更好找工作。
本科物理，研究生阶段读的生物
