呵呵，我觉得 性格干脆利索，又狂野不羁的天蝎座，
很适合 现代国际标准舞里的 paso doble，斗牛舞。
斗牛舞是从斗牛运动演变的，本为西班牙的进行曲，paso doble 是西班牙文，意思是
“两步”，是一种两步舞，男士象征斗牛士，女士象征斗牛士用以激怒公牛的红色斗篷
，所以女士有相当大的跳跃、旋转动作，男女动作都相当舒展、激烈，和雄壮威武的舞
蹈风格和刚劲十足的音乐配合非常一致。

近就没个像样的湘菜/川菜馆呢。。。
痛定思痛，似乎只有自力更生这条路可走。我想做孜然牛肉。我去年回国经常中午在一
个不起眼的小馆子吃孜然牛肉，看着很简单的配料，只有牛肉辣椒青椒和孜然，但是牛
肉又嫩又入味，香得不行，20多元满满一大盘，一般够两个人吃了，但我能一个人包圆
。我经常午饭就是一盘牛肉加一大碗鲜菇青菜汤，吃完了简直满足得翻白眼。。。咳咳
，真丢人，口水都要下来了。
回美国后我也试过几次，但是炒出来完全完全不是那么回事。首先因为美国的牛肉要去

什么是拉丁舞
拉丁舞分为拉丁国标舞和拉丁舞:

doble par,一個三杆洞鳥推沒進，結果doble bougie.好幾次保帕推沒進，很失望的。
但我打球只求開心，不大計較成績。知道自己條件限制：身高不到170,體能有年齡關係
（大家猜吧）。

本老頭老花眼，打球時不能帶眼鏡，看不清記分卡，也看不清手機的app.還沒想到自己

享受这次比赛，输了也都是高高兴兴地走。整场比赛更像是表演盛宴。每个人给观众的
都是惊喜不断。
相比之下，海清那组，她上来就训所有的人，挨个批，挨个骂。好几组都能看出来矛盾
非常深，完全没有交流和配合。还有的压力大到出走几天解压。表演印象深刻的也没多
少。
金星是真的活明白了，生活态度，舞蹈态度，人生态度都非常赞。她自己说过，18岁后
所有的决定都是自己做的，所以没有后悔没有埋怨，只有感恩，享受人生的一切。
这一期的国标舞也看得过瘾。Jive, Paso doble，chachacha，都好看，其实尤优那组
的Paso Doble换一下音乐会好很多，不然现场气氛不讨好。茜茜天生就是跳拉丁的，那
身材，气质和舞台感，没比了。 |

在中国只有国标，在美国有两套标准舞，国际标准舞和美国标准舞：美标上手简单些，
国标要练至silver级才能出样子。
需不需要舞蹈底子看你学这玩意儿是啥目的，好多人学bronze级只为社交和大家乐呵乐
呵，这样偏重lead and follow technique，若想参加比赛最好还是有点舞蹈底子筋骨
练软一点，没有也没关系因为大家都从pre-bronze不会有谁特别强过谁
国标拉丁有chacha, rumba, samba, jive, paso doble；美标韵律有chacha, rumba,
mambo, east coast swing, bolero；除了标准舞之外，拉丁舞还有salsa, bachata,
merengue,junta，后面这四个老墨club比较常见，除了salsa其他的都比标准舞易学
费用方面完全看你想投进去多少，舞鞋预算50刀，牛皮底的2-3英寸高跟鞋可以代替，
上课要看你找的老师是什么等级的，我不建议一开始去fred astaire, arthur murray
之类的连锁舞蹈教室，他们要钱太多能有50-90刀一小时。最好 |

应该是两人同一个房间吧？求确认。
自己不太确定的原因是虽然票号上的车厢号是相同的，但是Plaza（铺位？）一个是11
号，一个是15号。

each category has cha cha, rumba and a swing dance, int'l has samba and paso
doble, while American has bolero -- another, slower rumba dance -- and mambo.
The rumba dances are dissimilar, even in their basic counts, with steps on cou
nts 1, 3, 4 for American and 2, 3, 4 for int'l. Most importantly, the hip moti
on differs: in American style, one steps onto a bent leg; in int'l style, onto

发帖数: 921 | 36 自己的比赛完了之后就可以轻松地看别人的表演了。
我发现open dance/fun dance有一个趋势，那就是不少同性别的上场搭手比赛。在Purdue
比赛的时候，专门有一个same sex rumba，这回在Ohio，虽然没有专门设same sex，不过
不少同性的couple临时组对，博得不少叫好声，进了open dance的决赛，还真挺好玩的。
最有趣的恐怕要数latin里头的paso doble了。两位来自George Washington Univ的老兄
成了全场的亮点。两位合着节拍跺脚，倒还挺有气势，蛮有斗牛舞的味道，一旁的观众已
经开始叫好了。可能两位觉得仅此还不够吸引裁判的眼球，于是使出了绝招，一个躺倒在
地，做斗篷，另一个则扮斗牛士，做奋力拉起状，然后斗牛士把斗篷抱起绕圈。这时叫好
声已经遍布全场，观众的欢呼程度可能仅次于后来的Champion级别的latin比赛。
Team match也挺有意思的，可惜我们今年去的人实在太少，组不成一个队。希望到明年
OSB，我们也能上team match。对了，team match最后的冠军是哪个学校的？Purdue么？ |

I confess: i want to do V waltz for fun, on top of paso doble (which i am
more serious about) in the studio showcase. I have to blame myself for
trying to take a shortcut. Rome is not built in one day - nor is viennese
waltz learned in two classes ;)
However, for the competition two months ago, i planned to do 3 latin dances,
and added a waltz the last minute (just to have fun). I spent 30 minutes
with my teacher and got a routine. It turned out my best dance at the

Paso doble turns out to be in good shape, but not viennese waltz as i put in
only 3 privates. Last night the teacher changed a bit the routine and i
taped it, and came back home to 'analyze' each step till 3am; ended up with
two big pages of notes. 今天早上起来仍然着急 >_<

then and there?
dance-wise:
i feel the robes are just too much. the robes and cape overwhelmed their
body movements, which makes the dance a bit 拖泥带水. The play with the cape
(which is too short horizontally) is not as good as the play of a long band
by max and yulia in their silver jumpsuit showcase. (don't be mistaken - i
like them a lot; this is just technical comments.)
costume-wise:

festival (2006?). His initial appearance in that black costume with purple
cape and with no show of his face (covered by hat?) somehow makes me feel he
is Darth Vador in "Star Wars"... sorry (for those who like that dance).

and i still remember i was very impressed when i watched it at OSB.
Probably the most impressive moment for me on that evening!
personally, i like this paso show dance. this dance is telling a story, and
the costumes definitely add to that. i agree with you there are certain
drawbacks in this costume, but again, i feel that if you could watch it live
, you might like it, :)

very good. it didn't change the tempo, but definitely reduce the richness
of the music.

choreography...
now i know how different a dance could be when watched alive, as opposed to
from video. i'll take back what i said and make up my mind to go to ohio
this year to spectate OSB :)
