crohn's disease (cd). etiology is unknown. i think there are arguments on
both autoimmune-like triggers and viral etiologies.
uc is mostly bloody diarrhea. many people with uc can have spontaneous
remission, even if not, it can be cured by surgically removing the colon.
and the colon will need to be removed after 10 years of uc anyway to prevent
the development or colon cancer.
cd on the other hand is a life-time disea |

The HepB virus is transmitted mainly through blood and body fluid. I asked
my doctor here many times on whether I should using my own utensile at home

着贡献一把。
先说Cell那篇文章，几个月以前就看到了，真的不值一驳，虽然后面我确实会说一下。
我诧异的是，cell竟然会发这样的文章，基本概念都不了解，在那儿树了个靶子，自玩
个的。或许我对cell要求太高了。
给大家理一下GWAS的发展历程。GWAS是 association study,与之相应的是linkage
analysis。Linkage analysis最先获得发展，从80年代开始，攻克了无数山头，找到了
无数的致病基因，但是，但是这些发现都是在rare disease，在common disease上是一
沓糊涂。虽然在common disease上发了很多paper，遗憾的是这些的结果几乎都无法重
现。那么为什么这种方法在rare disease上很成功，在common disease却那么难堪呢？
rare disease和common disease有什么区别？从词义上看，不就是一个rare，一个
common嘛。这个是差别，却不是最本质的差别。最根本的差别在于rare disea |
