最近翻出阿西莫夫作品全集来重看,真挺有意思的,不仅囊括了他最早期那些名不见经
传的短篇,还有自己写的“创作感想”。看到TRENDS那一篇,居然发现他在1938年(当
时他还在读大学)成功预测成两件事:1)1940年第二次世界大战,2)1970年,人类登
月。
两件事都只差1年而已!
我一直觉得那个SF黄金时期的创作高峰,后来者很难翻越……

”一词。KJV翻译成EVIL, NKJV和NASB翻译成“calamity”NIV翻译成“disaster”.
根据下面的参考文献,这个词的含义很丰富,除了有“EVIL”的意思之外,还有其他方
面的意思。
在诸多意义中,一个比较符合以赛亚书45:7的意思是“灾难/不幸/逆境”,这和之前
的“PEACE”形成对比,就如上半节,光与暗形成对比一样。这样理解比较符合上下文。
根据解经文献来看,大体有两种解释,第一,这个词在这里是指“灾难”。第二,这个
词在这里指“EVIL OF PUNISHMENT”。而这两种定义不矛盾,结合更大的上下文背景看
,灾难可以作为神对亚述的PUNISHMENT。
所以,无论怎样,这里的“רַע”一词,不是指的道德领域的EVIL
,或属灵的罪恶。

Just as jhanas a lot of people cannot reach Juana because they cannot catch
the very short moment their mind is off the object.
We are talking about very subtle things here.

Nice post. You shoud probably take a look at "Civilization and its
Discontents" by Sigmund Freud, in which he explains the dilemma between
human's self interests and the collective interests for the community. It is
not a easy read though, but if you can get through Rawls's "A Theory of
Justice" without falling into sleep, you can handle this :)
BTW, are you doing Political Theory as your major?

Obviously you had not much working experience. While I was not there, I cannot
say much about it. Most likely to me is that she had certain discontent
with you. She would say what she likes. Many times, you can do is to ask why
and let her explain. If she is asshole, people will see it. If you are
indeed wrong and she is right, she will get sentiment for that which is
benefitial to you.

I still disagree. Cultural or economical superiority
does not always guarantee a successful assimilation.
It doesn't take 100% of the Tibetans to start a riot.
Only 10% of them being discontent would be more than enough.
Which can't be in the current framework. And I am _not_
even talking about the government. As long as we Han
Chinese keep thinking "we are doing you guys lots of good
so stop whining", it's never going to work.
