项。
1． DFCI有fitness 的reimbursement。
The Institute will reimburse 50% of the cost of annual membership at a bona-
fide health club and fitness center. Payment will be made in four quarterly
taxable installments. The maximum reimbursement each year is $400.
所以，如果你加入一个fitness club, 一年$400, 这样的话DFCI给你50%， 然后如果你
是HMO Harvard pilgrim的话，还可以向health insurance保险公司要回$150.然后自己
只用掏50块/一年。
2. DFCI有computer 的reimburse。这个估计大家都知道，我就不罗嗦了。
3．DFCI有childcare 的subsidy.

对于existing customer，只要sign up就可以了。 没有sign up的人赶快行动。ATT 有
24%的折扣。但是好像对于iphone这样的特殊的手机（带上网的）就不可以。一般的手
机plan 就可以。比如说我们家，对于2条line的ATT family plan,每个月可以省$16-$
17.
Verizon有22%的折扣。

Yesterday the University of Texas System Board of Regents named Ronald
DePinho, MD, director of Dana-Farber's Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer
Science, as the sole finalist for the presidency of the UT MD Anderson
Cancer Center in Houston.
Under Texas state law, university governing boards must name finalists for a
presidency at least 21 days before making a formal appointment. The board
is tentatively scheduled to finalize the selection at a meeting in June.

2年前PhD刚毕业的时候DIY递过一次EB1A and NIW. 舍不得请律师，就花几百块买了个
kit, 感觉比较值。因为比起网上的free samples, 好很多。后来NIW批了，EB1A 据了
。我想着那就等NIW吧，等2年就轮到我们了。然后排期大倒退，要等8-9年才可能拿到
，忍无可忍，决定上EB1B. 其中，隔壁实验室某大哥EB1b1个月就批了，对我起到了极
大的鼓舞作用。所以我希望我这个帖子，也可以鼓舞别人。
好在EB1A据的时候，据信上写得很清楚，我符合2个条件。而EB1A需要3个条件。但是
EB1b只需要2个条件，所以，水到渠成。
DFCI好歹是哈佛附属医院，在移民局看来，还是很硬的牌子。
我有可能是DFCI EB1B DIY 第一人，当时要说服HR的人破花费了一些功夫。搞得我曾经
很沮丧。后来我的批了，approval letter寄到HR，他们很惊讶。因为美国人不知道这
个原来是可以不要律师的。现在同志们要去找他们，就不需要再经历我当初的那番苦了。

DIY是跟请律师的来区别。DFCI还没有大头到给我们出5000刀的律师费。
postdoc在DFCI的job title一律都是research fellow.
