I have a desktop that, on pressing power button, it starts up, but after a
second, it shuts down. I may need to try this a dozen times before it
actually boots up. (once actually boots up, it works great)
The desktop is 6 years old (but works great except the above issue), with
Intel Q9300.
I am thinking possibly either the motherboard, or the power supply, is
having some issue. But can't decide the exact reason (or maybe it is related

器干活。
软件用的是remote desktop connection manager v2.7, router是asus RT-AC68U。
现在问题是几分钟就掉线一次，然后很快重新又连接上。观察发现，似乎是在remote机
器上有操作的时候容易掉线，加入连接上以后，什么都不干，不容易掉线。google了几
个solution，都不行，大侠们请问有啥办法解决？先谢过了 |

I have a very strange problem about the Remote Desktop Connection between my
laptop and the server. I have a win2k-pro on my laptop and I can ping the
Server, in addition I can use TightVNC to connect to the server. So looks like
I have no network problem between my laptop and the server.
Furthermore, I can telnet the server port 3389, the same server can be
accessed by Remote Desktop Connection from my co-worker's laptop using same
settings, so it's not the problem on server either.

后remote desktop在自动连接。牛人帮看看咋回事啊！ router 端只做了port

Because there are other people who just want a functioning desktop, who love
their xterms like their girlfriends. :)
If ubuntu goes the fancy way, you will undoubtedly get a load of users
complaining that their desktops are too *fancy*, and are garbages, are OSX
wannabes.
I just finished configuring my kubuntu, and am reasonably happy with it. My
wife would complain that she can not use the browser to see her Desperate
Housewives episodes, but heh, this is my laptop and I don't care.

上，可以看见当前kde/gnome的桌面。
windows下面可以用remote desktop,或者是VNC，Fedora下面的VNC，就是新开一个term
inal或者新的x-windows而已，或者说我俺没有发掘出怎样显示当前的桌面。

also u can try freenx.
If u are talkign about resuming an existing session like winxp, i don't know
how to do it but i believe there is a way to do it in linux as well. One
more thing, winxp can only allow one remote desktop, sucks big time.

箱。
我本地主机名Thinkpad, 用户名XX, 邮箱为 x**[email protected]
试了Alpine, 发件发出去了，按理来说发件地址应该为x**[email protected], 可却总显示
为[email protected]，显然是错的，回信就会出错。
试了mailutils+ssmtp, 用mail发件也发出去了，可也是总显示发件地址为 XX@school.
edu (如果配置 ssmtp.conf里面 FromLineOverride=YES, 则显示XX@Thinkpad，更错).
用Thunderbird，一样的配置，则没有问题，可以正常使用，正常显示。
SSH到schoo.edu服务器上，当然是可以正常用命令行mail发邮件的。
请教下本地Desktop的Ubuntu上怎么用命令行收发邮件呢？ |
