想找牙医检查下牙齿。
pediatric dentist优势明显吗？当然无论哪种牙医都有好有差。
还是找个普通review好的牙医 就可以？
主要是pediatric dentist都在20mile以上，爷爷奶奶肯定要跟去的（不然光我和小孩
在外面吃饭的话 比较无聊），为了看个牙，如此兴师动众有点头大。
第一次啊，没经验。
还有就是，第一次检查会X ray吗？（我估计老公肯定反对，所以提前问问）
我们肉眼看不出虫牙蛀牙之类。
会洗牙吗？（肯定不可能配合的，现在刷牙前3分钟是相当配合的，再久一点，就跑掉
了）。

dentist的助手清理牙齿的，而我儿子去的是pediatric dentist本人亲自上阵的，
还得父母之一紧紧抱住，否则1岁多的小朋友哭闹起来，没有一定经验根本搞不定。 |

Anyway, I use 儿童牙医 for my daughter. They are amazing. My daughter
followed (and still follows) their directions to the letter. It's a
completely different story at home. |

1. If you have to do it, do it during second trimester. You will need to lie
on your back, not safe for third trimester. There have been pregnant women
who did root canal before.

ob和dentist都说可以打麻药，dentist那里用的是mepivacaine w/o epinephrine。ob
说没问题，但是我还是很担心，想先忍着，实在忍不住再上这个麻药。
请问大家这个麻药安全吗？我看fda对mepivacaine是划在了category c的，好像挺危险啊
另外，如果我忍着不用麻药，疼痛会不会导致宫缩一类的？？ |

宝宝六岁, 有龋齿, 但每次看牙都跟打仗一样, 害怕, 不配合, 不张嘴.
pediatric dentist 给用了两回 sedation (就是保险不cover的那种大杯的麻药, 喝了
小孩就睡了那种, 一杯大概 350刀+), 补了 10+ 个洞, 还安了一个钢crown.
但没多久就掉了好几个 filling, 回去再重新补又是喝 sedation , 结果装上又掉. 这
次回去找他时候忍不住朝医生怒了, 但医生的借口是小孩不老实, 虽然有用了
sedation.
这次我们拒绝再给小孩喝 sedation .
结果 pediatric dentist 这次又鼓动我们去医院的 operating room 作全麻, 是他熟

My 3-year old fell and he "probably" will lose his teeth. But his dentist
gave us two options: extraction or crowning.
To my understanding, putting a crown doesn't need extraction. My question to
you is: did the dentist suggest you for crowning? Extraciton only may cause
problem for your kid's adult teeth coming out at the right time and right
position. I would choose crowning if we found out his teeth are dead in late
summer.

假牙usually not necessary for 门牙. If it is baby molar teeth extracted, the
space maintainer is needed to prevent the movement of posterior teeth.
In your case, I guess it is IV sedation. child needs oral sedation (drink
some medication first, and then use IV sedation). the IV sedation is very
fast, the child will sleep in a minute. The extraction of baby tooth usually
take a few minutes. your
dentist seems very reasonable in treatment and very experience. Just follow
your dentist. |

同的cereal，我都一一做到，最后就因为我没有把勺放在她的手里，而是放在碗里在那

my insurance can only cover her until she reach 2. Because of this delay,
when cannot save her 2 teeth. Or else if we just pay by myself, we might
save them. Never believe the dentist in China, there is not even pediatric
dentist in China. After we have dental surgery for her, her teeth is just
fine as we brush her for 2 times per day and floss everyday. |

dentist平时不在诊所，只有手术是才来，他的associate 看了说，有4个cavities,是
下牙左后右后各两个，要补牙再戴crown,麻醉没有选择，只能iv sedation。说这么大
小孩只能选择让他睡觉，其实那天我儿子还是比较合作的，还洗了牙,不过不让拍
bitewing x-ray。
second opinion,是个做了好几十年的老儿童牙医，比较老了， 他看了看说只有一个，
等做了x-ray再看看有没有更多。只需要补一下，不用crown,麻醉他选择先做oral,再加
上laughing gas.如果他实在不合作，在择天作iv sedation。(那天我儿子不是很合作.
)现在我很心动选这个牙医做，毕竟不要全麻。可他怎么只看到1个，我都能看到2个。
而且，我儿子牙都开始疼了。我儿子牙都开始疼了， 但应该不是很厉害.
我现在也有点糊涂，有经验的parents有没有好的建议。选第二个又怕小孩招两次罪。 |

cleaned her teeth. It worked very well. Try to find a pediatric dentist for
your LO. |

The coverage is limit. You waste money for purchasing insurance.
by the way, you should take your child to see pediatric dentist when or
before first tooth erupts. 3 years old is too late. I see many children
under 3 years old with full mouth decay. Some of them have to complete
dental rehabiliation in hospital under general anesthesia. |

suggest first dental visit within 1 year.
pediatric dentist check not only caries. the examination includes occlusion
such as crossbites, soft tissue (tongue tie, labial frenum, ulcers, Herps..)
, habit (thumb sucking, pacifier which can affect child oral development
such as open bite).

Do you help her to clean the teeth every day? 5 years old kid still too
young to clean well by herself. At least you need help her once at night.
Try to use the floss after meal.
Then you need to find a good pediatric dentist in your city. Not General
dentist. If 右边下面大牙疼 again, you need to see doctor ASAP, They can give
you some prescription oral rinse which can helps.

But our kid had no idea she was getting a shot since she was distracted.
Going to a pediatric dentist is definitely good for small children, I would
recommend you switching if your current dentist is not.

paid the money for phase I, but when we started phase II, the dentist
deducted money for phase I. So at the end, we paid around $4000 to $5000
total. So ask the dentist, is that possible, he will waive the money for
phase I when you start phase II.

- $80 for full mouth dental X-Ray
- $80 for dental clean (full mouth)
- $80 for doctor consultation
There was no copay/coinsurance fee from me as it's considered "preventive
service" and insurance paid whole bill.
My dentist bill was very moderate. As it's a couple of years ago, the
current cost might be higher. |

口腔颌面外科和正畸，这两个个比较专，应该是specialist，其他应该都是一个系统的
，算是general dentist.
