bigger city. The city just want more money and more money for the RAV line.
Deling , so you lived in both Seattle and Vancouver?

r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 4 How's the snow condition ? |
|
D****g 发帖数: 2860 | 5 I'll probably be snowboarding tomorrow, not on Sunday this weekend though.
It's gonna be warm tomorrow. The weather is perfect today, but I'm stuck
here in the office :( |

r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 6 Have fun!
I've been thinking to take skiing lessons for years, somehow snowing is so
pretty but being outdoor too long in the snow just reminded me getting lost
out with classmates in the snow for an hour or 2 was the coldest thing to be
outdoor. And rolling down the hills , I am too old for that now, maybe push
myself try cross-country one day. |
|
D****g 发帖数: 2860 | 7 You are never too old to try something new. I started out skiing last year.
Most learners were like 4-5 years old. And I started snowboarding this
season, most snowboarders are teenagers :)

with rentals for $342 at Cypress. It's a lot of fun. It's very safe if you
take lessons one step at a time. ;)

r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 11 Ok, I will definitely look into it as I said for many years.
Have been born not in a city that snow, and all kinds of excuses......
And who said winter is depressing?
I just need that special someone's push and that special mood ,haha ......

hehe, I was born in a city that snows once every several years, and there is
no mountain around. That's not an excuse for not skiing :)
It's not depressing at all. It's a lot of fun. My wife is loving winter
better than summer. I like summer a little more though. |
|
r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 13 The main point is your WIFE , see what I mean by special someone?
Anyway, I rather be in the sun on a sandy beach, but then( someone asked me
if I was from Africa) after I was in HK for a few months.
I prefer alone on a warm beach than alone in the snow going no where.

spots.
Do you know there are still single people out there?

single WOMAN.

D****g 发帖数: 2860 | 16 single people go to bars to meet other single people :) |
|
r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 17 I am just saying there are alot of things to consider when a single woman go
to places alone.
I have been thinking of going to a single bar , one day when go travel or
even in the city go in for a relaxing drink , who knows ......
But going to remote places alone , single ppl just have to careful that's
all.
One more thing, I don't have snow tires on my car and I wish to buy a jeep (
that's expensive if just for skiing) :( |
|

You don't need snow tire if you go to local mountains (grouse, seymour, or
cypress). :) |

x*****n 发帖数: 1905 | 21 You are not alone. I've been in Vancouver for more than five years, and this
is the 1st year I start skiing. :) |

r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 22 I am driving my late father's car. It is still driveable , don't really want
to spend money on car. |

x*****n 发帖数: 1905 | 23 Yes. The roads to those mountains are very well salted. It's different story
if you want to drive all the way to Whistler, or some remote resorts. |

r*******u 发帖数: 8732 | 26 Thanks Deling. But never mind , I was going to post some photos of the night
before at the Richmond's Aberdeen center and yesterday's Chinatown. Not so
interesting.
I saw someone posted MS's CNY show in Seattle , that was interesting to see.
A coincidence of running into my CBC cousin and his family came back for the
CNY weekend from MS in Seattle at the Richmond Aberdeen center. ( I haven't
seen him for OMG 2 years! ) |

Anyway, I heard she was and helped another friend got in too.
You have to do more stretching warm up before running.
It would be nice running today outside. |

D****g 发帖数: 2860 | 36 yeah, running is a tricky thing. I injured the tendon coz I ran a little too
much without enough warming up. |

D****g 发帖数: 2860 | 40 I went to Mout Si last weekend to kick off the season (damn, I sprayed my
ankle , although not too bad). I usually go hiking every weekend in the
summer. I don't have a plan yet. I haven't explored Seattle area too much. I
moved here last Oct. |
