今天也是兴冲冲的去了TREE-MENDUS FRUIT FARM，发现没有了。
后来在离TREE-MENDUS FRUIT FARM很近的一个农场，应该是从TREE-MENDUS FRUIT FARM
会chicago的方向，走个1-2Mile的地方，门脸很小。不提供梯子，
但是很多树接的樱桃很低。1.75/pound for sweet cherry, and 0.75/pound for tart
cherry. very delicous. Even cheaper than the TREE-MENDUS FRUIT FARM. |

者早上玩。日落。
delicate arch。就需要2-3小时hike。基本没shade.
所以一般都住moab.可惜那里挺贵的。但是方便。
idaho falls很小。我住的le ritz。还不错.
rocky mountain np个人也很喜欢。
有山有水。至少玩一整天。

到Utah 升级相机和提高摄影技术都很有必要，我的相机和技术都很业余，未免辜负了
美景，献丑了。Local的同学们对于这些地方感兴趣想去有问题的，可以给我电话或者

稳、准、狠！那arches来说，光delicate arch就够你一上午的，坐在它下面就不愿意
动了。我觉得要一天半才能说得过去，canyonlands分为三个部分，开发最好的就是路
过deadhorse的island in the sky，如果不hiking，一天够了。晚上路过deadhorse，
看日落，我认为那的日落是世界上最美的，canyon，河流，雪山在落日余光下浑然天成
，尤其时最后一缕火红的霞光掠过目所能及最远处的雪山的过程，让你体会一种令人震
撼的中性美──俏丽中难掩恢宏与刚毅。
其他地方我就没去过了，不好说什么。对了mesa verde一天抓紧一些够了，按照ranger
给你意见，应该没问题，保存最好的三处岩居是需要买票的，否则无法参观。总体感觉
mesa verde作为自然景观的造化神奇是值得看的，仔细想想，Mesa其兴建之时（800年
前），正是我中华宋辽时期，封建文明已臻顶峰，反观mesa的土人此时不过是刚刚穿越

发帖数: 106 | 8 这个安排有点紧啊。开过去差不多要6 － 7个小时。两天的话全在路上了。建议你们周
五晚上走，先去Glenwood Springs泡个澡，住在Grand Junction。周六早上再开三个小
时到公园。先开车到公园绕一下，去一下南北窗户什么的。到delicate arch(3 miles)
看日落。可以去ＭＯＡＢ的四川榕吃晚餐。第二天去走一下devils garden (7.2 miles
)看一下landscape arch什么的，就可以回来了。

发帖数: 377 | 9 刚过去的这个周末去了snowmass和Aspen，independent pass还开着，黄叶基本很少了
，不过snowmass还是有些不错的黄叶的，住的酒店是viceroy snowmass，淡季在
priceline上85+fee拍下来的，酒店很不错，呵呵，maroon bell周围的叶子基本掉了，
从maroon bell可以hiking到的那个湖快干了，呵呵，不过山顶看湖的景色不错。还去
了utah的arches，一点不冷，即使早晨5点多去delicate arch看日出也没觉得冷。回但
丹佛的路上路过vail和copper mountain，已经开始下雪了，估计不久就可以ski了，回
报完毕，呵呵 |

arches里面估计你们主要是开车，每个景点下来稍微走两步。delicate arch如果要近
看的话，需要走一段时间，就看你们是不是打算去了。devil's garden真要走的话可能
要半天时间，如果时间不够可以量力而行，半途而废。
那个神马park avenue入口处看看就行，不要从头走到尾再走回来，纯属浪费时间。另
外sand dune arch是一个好玩的地方。还有windows在日落的时候夕阳照在上面还是比
较壮观的。

发帖数: 933 | 11 如果你们早上出发，下午两三点应该就能到moab，这个时候去delicate arch正合适，
从停车场到观景点大概1.5迈，看上去很远，但是比较好走，没什么垂直距离，就算带
着老人孩子走走歇歇，1个小时单程也足够了，正好可以看到夕阳斜照的拱门，那是最
理想的观赏时间。这怎么说也是最有名的一个拱门，值得一探。
地图左上角的devils garden trail一定要走一走，至少也可以走到 landscape arch那
里，离停车场不到1迈，对于老人和孩子来说也很容易。如果想把这个trail走完，那就
真得准备半天的时间。你们可以考虑第二天上午就花在这个trail上，风景还是不错滴。
地图右边的North/South window 和turret arch那里也可以走一走，这儿的trail更简
单，就当饭后散步。公园的主路旁边还有些viewpoint和零散的拱门，看你们时间和体
力了。
moab有家中餐馆叫四川榕，可惜卖的东西跟川菜没什么关系。从I70到MOAB有191和128
两条路，128的风景好些，路上貌似有很多recreation site，可能没什么观景的价值，

美国西部一个月自驾游小结
一直以来我对美国的西部比较向往，所以做了这个计划，并最终顺利实现。很多人在看
到这个计划时说行程太长，路程太远，不太可能实现；但也有人赞同这个计划，认为比
较合适。我的观点是：不赞同这个计划的人不适合长途自驾游。
在Mitbbs上讨论了一下，吸取了部分热心人的意见，对原定计划进行了小调整。整个行
程走下来，感觉并不太紧张，我们是按照计划一天不差的走过来了。这是我第一次做这
样长途旅行的规划，同行的各位都很满意。
游记就不写了，这两天忙着打包，收拾东西马上回国了。
1.行程安排
开始时间：2011.7.15
D1：purdue （West Lafayette，IN）出发，全天赶路。赶赴St Paul（MN）接人。
D2：赶路赴总统巨石，途径Corn Palace，天黑之前赶到总统巨石，夜宿Rapid City。

几个人？如果一个人，开那么长，安全很成问题，这个是我认为最重要的问题。如果为
了在路上的感觉，3，4天就够了，再长就审美疲劳了，开到UT,CO,TX就差不多了。开夜
车很累，安全性也很差，冬天出去玩，晚上赶点路不可避免，但是尽量控制在2，3小时
左右吧。
如果你肯定以后还有充分的时间重游UT，那么继续去CO，否则UT的Canyonland,
Monument Valley都是不容错过的。我的感觉是，国家公园比National monument要大，
基本都要玩一天。Arches小半天，时间肯定很紧，而且，你从vegas开过去，少了一个
小时（！），Arches里delicate arch看夕阳很美。以你目前的时间安排，基本上开车,
游玩很难兼顾。
New mexico的santa fe很不错，整个城市统一的adobe风格。除了white sand，还有个
wild life refuge，冬天能看鸟，很棒，是我觉得去TX, NM一圈下来最棒的地方，具体
可以查查travel JHQ。
TX的guadelupe徒有虚名，路过高速上看两眼就差不多了。TX开车挺boring。 |

白天踏雪无痕，晚上温泉SPA。
笑到胃抽筋，冷到脚冻掉。
司机被刺激出了幻觉，有人听故事流出了鼻血，每个TRAIL都是LOOP，大半夜的有人梦
游。。。。。。
唉，2006年的圣诞是一次非常BT的旅行。。。。
五天，不是太赶，走了BRYCE，CAPITOL REEF，ARCHES，CANYONLAND，DEADHORSE，几个
NP。各有特色。自己感觉冬天是玩UTAH不错的季节，不热，不象夏天得在阳光下没有遮
拦地暴晒着。白雪中红色的CANYON异常美丽诡异。因为白天短，日出日落都能赶上，霞
光中的CANYON变换着面貌。只要计划好行程，不需要起早贪黑，几乎所有的景点都能赶
上。
最震撼的还是ARCHES那个著名的DELICATE ARCH，虽然要翻山越岭才的见，可是当峰回
路转，拱门突然出现在已经累的人仰马翻的我们面前时，呼吸几乎停止。真的太漂亮了
。一个字：值。真是不经历风雨，怎么见拱门啊。
最后推荐一下BRYCE的RUBY‘S INN。我是在TRAVEL版看见别人推荐以后才订的。非常有
特色，服务也很齐全。 |

07年感恩节：大峡谷(South Rim to Pleateau Point via Bright Angel trail) ，Las

排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。
第50名是波士顿的museum of bad art，听着很好玩，有人去过吗？
