改起来很容易，就是修改一下init参数和listener参数
不过我觉得没要改为shared server
因为一般的ibm hardware配置，弄dedicated 100个session没问题
你们很有可能是sga＋pga快到物理内存了
所以先看看是不是这个原因

租一个主机叫做 dedicated server
然后还有 virtual private server, 是在一个主机上虚拟多个机器
shared hosting 是放网页，也可能可以自己搞一些 cgi，可能提供数据库服务，但是
对 webserver 没有直接控制
以上后两个最便宜
我感觉 colo 似乎要比 dedicated server 贵一些，机器出了问题还要自己过去折腾，
似乎不划算；不过也可能是因为我本地物价贵的原因。

cable是share的，没错。
真正的dedicated是问isp买T1，combined T1，用于企业的。
所有的service都是oversciption的，也就是assume 100个用户，只有50个，或者30个
同时使用，然后用cir限定你的data rate，而事实上，限定3m，10m都是达不到的。
北美是全球唯一一个cable做的比adsl还要占有率高的地区，adsl普遍使用G.lite标准
使得网速限制很大，个别att内部人员也许用得是over 3M的服务，他们家的facility和
你们的不一样，用得是splitter，不是filter |

那么，我想：
1. 功耗不能太高，可以考虑使用amd a series APU。主频可以在比较大的范围改变；
2. 安装一个dedicated gpu。但是主板必须支持dedicated 和 integrated gpu 的切换；
3. 机箱电源该如何选择？200w在玩game时候是否合适？
4. 需要安装更多的ram和64bit操作系统吗？
想法有些乱，也许不合实际，见笑。 |

多IP是非常重要的--至少对于我来说,这个也是我用managed.com的一个原因(现在好像不
提供10个免费IP这么多了).
一分钱一分货,一般一个月几十快的dedicated server不要指望太多.如果对于linux
mysql apache sendmail squid proftp等等的配置不怎么了解的话,还是多花钱找个真正
的managed dedicated server好
另外流量是非常重要的,如果你的网站比较有规模的话.
除了SETUP费,我还没有其它费用.我EMAIL用YAHOO的,REBOOT可以REMOTE完成,一个IP是FRE

，建议先作FA。
做新题实战演练时，不用花太多时间看解释。我一般weekday，晚上做3到4套题，只用1
小时看解释，而且只看错题的注释，用不着都看。周末每天6到8套题的话只花2小时看
解释。
至于大段复习时间，如果你有工作的话，只有抓紧晚上和周末。我自己就是这样，把家
里所有的事情都交于LD。每天除了工作，就是看书学习。因为每天上班做地铁,两年下
来车都不怎么会开了。你想把这个事情做好你就必须dedicated。这样效率才高。如果
你有更多的家庭负担，也只能拉长学习进程，这就不如短期大量快速刺激记忆效果好。
我的一个朋友就是，一边学习，哪有party都要参加,时不时还得带孩子各处玩,前些天
我去买东西还看到她在陪老人逛mall.还总说对不起孩子,没时间陪她.她的step1成绩就
不怎么理想.我认为她就是不够的dedicated.其实她这种心情可以理解,但鱼和熊掌不可
兼得,每个人的精力都有限,你如果想取胜就必须舍弃一些东西.过后能补偿的补偿,补不
了的也没办法. |

拿PSYCH作为back up的年代已经过去了。对AMG来说，或许可以拿到面试，对CMG来说，
没有OB,没有PSYCH的推荐信，申PSYCH是白白扔钱。
从PD挑candidate的角度来说，对分数，YOG还是比较宽松的。见到很多印度人分数在
200分左右，CMG YOG大部分都是10年以上了吧，这些人都可以有面试的机会。但是PD对
dedication还是很看重的。这个dedication对我们来说就是通过做OB来体现的。现在不
管申哪科，踏踏实实做几个月的OB， 不仅帮助我们写好PS，加深对这个科的理解，而
且面试的时候也有的可说。
此外，CS一次通过对PSYCH也同样非常重要！
总之，现在卖到哪科都不容易，踏踏实实做OB很重要。千万不要抱侥幸心理！ |

很多人说经历了usmle，整个人的成熟和心理素质都会强一个台阶。我只有经历了最初
的阶段，我觉得这的确是考验人的事。either你很聪明，photographic memory，那你
或许轻松就度过了。either你特别吃得起苦特别勤学好问，那或许你还会enjoy学习的
过程和乐趣。我感觉自己是又不够聪明又吃不起苦，所以非常痛苦。这其中适当的休息
，和家人的互动，对心情和作息生活的调整，运动，所有方法都要动员起来支持自己。
此外，整个过程里我有最大的两个感触。
一是后悔年轻不努力老大徒伤悲。我很早就知道usmle，但是自己来了美国先是读书，
读书之余空闲还是有的，但是都用来到处游玩，谈恋爱失恋之类的事儿。工作以后又懒
懒散散不思进取，一会要办h1b了，办完要弄绿卡了，一会儿要办婚礼了，一会要看房
了，一会要搬家了，一会儿又生娃了，总之所有的事情，都放在了usmle之前，导致一
晃就错过了5年黄金坎。而当自己年近30成为有娃大妈后，才发现，那记忆力，简直弱
爆了。于是无数次深深自责，为什么不在记忆力最黄金的年龄，在体力脑里都最好的时
