Saudi Arabia cut prices on oil sales over the weekend as it plays catch-up
with OPEC and other producers in the region.
State-run Saudi Aramco reduced prices significantly on oil sent to Asia and

anticipation of improved demand at lower price points.

例子：table varchar(9)
1。如果用format，一旦有不符合format，就报错。
2。如果不用format，自己写validation，要注意table里面的varchar长度限制。
3。超过长度限制的，bcp报错，但是shell不传到数据库。
4。bcp会truncate(忽略)该条记录。读取下一条记录。注意：假如record是10位，不会
读取前9位。
5。bcp会计数上述4的错误次数。默认允许最大错误次数是10。可以修改默认值。
6。达到最大默认值，shell命令报错，job agent知道。
7。我当时没用format,用，EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail，把validation的信息发信
给business group。DBA不需要管数据是否合理。只要job run就可以了。
8。send_dbmail可以送2个附件。一个来自于file directory。另一个来自于query。

如果import data之后又rebuild index,那么不用update stat相关index,
首先是重复劳动，如果不带fullscan的update stat得到的statistics
还不如rebuild index时得到的准确。
虽然SQL Server会根据import数据量（20%)自动update stat,
但因为data import的任务通常是在maintenance window进行，
完成importhou 我习惯用cursor statement来更新其他的statistics
下面是其中的部分语句(更新指定表12小时内未更新的statistics)

research myself and figuring out the issue. You are right. I rewrite the
query to get rid of cursor and use PATH XML instead.
One interesting thing I observed is that after I updated my sp and run the
report, it gave out an error msg:

1. never use * in query, only use specific columns and rows you need, never
use extra
2. table uses dbo prefix, selection uses with (nolock)
3. repeated code section can be replace by UDF or stored procedure
4. join is always on the key. if join is not the key, you need to be very
careful
5. layout flow chart for complicated stored procedure before coding
6. CTE is a good choice to replace subquery, table variable and temp table

they were loading a set of data into a table.
The DB is SS2K5.
The error message shows "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_index'.
Cannot insert duplicate key into object 'dbo.Table'".
Sounds straight forward? No...
I then load the set of data into a temp table and do the comparison, no
duplicates found!
