公司几个人离职，现在大面积招人。
需要几个developer，一个architect，一个director

有没有人搞 SAP，ETL（Datastage,Informatica）,data modeling, business
intelligence（microstrategy,cognos, business objects）这些？
另外SAS 也有不是搞统计那块的，很多SAS implementation；
不少job都在这一块，SAP尤其的多，可是很少看见中国人申请，都是阿三
希望大家还在学校的尽量学一些ERP方面的课程，有些课不会title叫SAP，选课的时候
要多问问 |

是不是deserve to learn，depends on your opportunity。
说回来我觉得新同学不妨考虑去学学informatica/datastage/ssis/bo/cognos之类，容
易上手，工作机会也挺多的。 |

搞数据库是不要编程的，不要浪费时间在c，java这种很无关的东西上了。
我认识的搞这个的人基本都没有考证的，就是会吹，懂business
想向developer发展的，学ETL tool，比如datastage，informatica 一类的，不难，就
是拉拉点点图标；这些tool对其它数据库通用
大型数据库里面都是不会code的，基本都是图形界面了。
作analyst也不要学什么，有些只用excel
就连写sql都有reporting tool比如business object, cognos, microstrategy，就是
拉拉点点图标这些tool对其它数据库通用
偏分析方面的用些统计就这样
作dba学些unix，kornshell，shell scripting
所以很多人都被误导了，我数据库这行赶了有些年头，基本从来不编程 |

懂data modeling 就不要作Database developer这种阿三云集的职位呢
Database developer主要是datastage，Informatica 这些tool拉拉图标。sql都很少写
。database不重要，sql server不要学。 |

的朋友建议我找SAS programmer的工作，但是最近有个做ETL developer的朋友说其实
ETL developer更好，所以想问点情况，找SAS programmer的话容易点，ETL 的话还要
学学datastage，不过我对unix/linux很熟。 |

Datastage 超难学。它是从 main frame 上发展出来的。 学informatica or SSIS 也
行，直观多了。 |

发帖数: 48 | 22 It's IBM's ETL product from acquisition of Ascential. Learning curve is a
little bit more steep than SSIS and Informatica.
It's better to learn it on the job with actual project. Reading books is not
going to help much. Actually when I tried to learn it, I realized there's
no books on Amazon about it. There's also training from IBM. |

你去看看这个网站，我记得有中文版，informatica 我差不多搞通了50%，就是性能方
面很少折腾，简单，你回了这个
datastage

owb
sagent
都差不多，我就方法是魔派，上手迅速，但就是不知道是否可以长久，呵呵，毕竟我主
业不是做这个，别人也不会多给我两个钱，所以能用我就罢手了 |
