some chore with a cigarette dangling off my lips, I'd sit down at my desk,

However, I quickly get a large number of dangling cursors. I searched the
cursor table and it shows it has a whole bunch of the following cursors open:
begin dbms_lob.trim (:1, :2); end;
I don't think I explicitly run the above script in my application. Where do I
get this? I do use oracle.sql.CLOB.trim() in my application (Java) code. Is it
related to the dbms_lob.trim thing?
Any suggestions are appreciated. |

是Vista。基本功能都可以，就是有一个致命的毛病，当用鼠标（普通罗技光电）左键
单击时会把前面所有的文件都选中，就象按着shift键一样。
不会是必须用罗技的专门的dangle吧。
只好用用回老键盘，哪位高手给参谋一下，问题解决发20个包子。 |

1. You can easily get the error stack to locate the error, no dumb core dump.
2. It's much safer when you have an Null pointer error in java, in C++ you
can potentially screw the data in the memory with dangling pointer. So Java
program is more robust on the server side.

Sorry, no.
I read several sites online, but none of the sites could give definitive
answer. I guess it is just per VM implementation maybe.
But, your question about the "dangling" reference in the permgen sounds
interesting I guess maybe the java vm has some way to keep track of that?
I guess what I would do in that case, before garbage collect any object from
the heap, I would check if that object is referenced by any from the
permgen.
Maybe a question for Oracle ;-) |

convenient for object communication between different processes.
And not possible for things like IOC, AOP。
On server side, it's risky to use C++ for an application.
A single error can lead to a crash (dangling pointer,
array index out of range etc.). With JVM and these frameworks,
it typically only affects a single user with bug like this. |

create a tempory norm object then push it into the vector with default
assignment operator(ie. bit wise copying). Then the temp object is destroyed
along with the GEN member object, leaving a dangling raw pointer in the
vector.
