大事了,因为对dallas的情况不是太熟悉,所以想听听大家的意见.
我们预算最好不要超过25万,之前有朋友一直说现在买bank own的房子最合算,但是ld倾
向买新房,格局和装修风格材料什么的感觉好看. 也有很多人说现在利率低,是买dream
house的时机,但是我们看中的dream house 都超了预算.
位置, ld在Richardson上班,我们初步打算在plano, allen, Mckinny 看房, ld说开车
上班半个小时他能接受,考虑到我以后工作的情况,也不想太往北了. 据我了解,中国人大都
住在plano,学区好,但是那边的房子貌似都比较老,价格也高. 不知道我刚说的以上几个
地方的学区和社区情况如何, 有谁能提供些信息和网站? 我们自己看了在Mckinny的几个
open house, 那些小区都在建,大片的空地,不知发展前景如何,新房子里装修的倒是很美.
我认识有德州的朋友是先买了一个学区一般的2年新的新房子, 说等孩子要上学了,还有

时间，这张卡上sheraton dallas突然扣了我840刀，american express记录显示我上周
又去他们那住了,这也太扯了，我上周都呆在家里，卡也一直在我身边。
于是我给他们打电话，接线的人用我的名字一查，说他们的记录显示我上周是住他们那
了。我说你这太荒谬了，我的很多帐号记录都显示我在家里附近活动。于是接线人说我
给你转accounting部门，然后转过去永远都没人接，打了十几个电话都是踢皮球
最直接的方法当然是找american express直接dispute,但是我就是很不爽，这钱也扣的
太莫名其妙了。要是都像他们这样，我刷了一下卡，他们没有我允许就把我卡的信息记
录下来，以后就算卡一直在我身边，他们也随便乱扣钱，这还了得，这世界不乱套了。
能不能报警或者告他们？不只是把钱要回来的问题，他们accounting部门太王八蛋了，
至少要让他们accounting部门的任没好日子过。 |

本人国内本科三年光科学+一年电子工程，现在拿到了University of Rochester ECE的
Msc和U of
Texas at Dallas的PhD RA，后者组里做的是嵌入式，跟医疗保健相关的。本身是想毕
业后在美国工作
几年再回国的，打算在工业界发展。
对于PhD：没有深入尝试过，所以很难讲自己真正对科研有兴趣，担心五年坚持不下来
。而且那个组年
轻的伊朗老板似乎有点push（Dr.Roozbeh Jafari有人知道么？）不过Dallas那里毕业
后就业似乎比较
方便，而且工程类的PhD对于以后想在工业界发展的人来说，含金量还是比较高的吧？
对于Msc：如果想进工业界发展，也许这条路比较快捷。Rochester综排比较高。打算选
Computer
Engineering的方向，选些计算机系的课，据说好找工作吧。。。不过Rochester地理位
置是不是不大
好？而且本身没什么这方面的背景，一年两年会不会学不到什么东西啊，而且现在计算
机的Msc那么
多，真是担心两年后市场饱和了。。。

可直到现在已经两个多星期了，还没收到receipt,check也没有被cash。请问，寄到

EAD materials to Dallas on Jan/10th/2011, however, no news updated yet,
what happened to Dallas lockbox?
