了一圈。
周二下午五点到了maroon lake（坐最后一班bus去的，就载了我一个人），与目标合影
一张（1）。
（2）近看north maroon
然后夜宿crater lake，第二天也就是周三天不亮就上路了（3）
（4）朝阳照耀在山上
然后就一路爬山，虽然路陡且窄，但也还凑合。唯一的危险是在second gully，如果上
方有人或羊发动落石的话，还是颇为令人胆战的。
（5）是所谓的crux，很困难吗？
爬到高处一看，snowmass的雪都化光了（6）

快要到顶的时候，发现西边突然变天了（8）

一群，去一趟很不易。我去年夏天就开始找机会，有一次差点成行，后来因为天气不好
取消。今年开春之后接着找，终于等来了盼望已久的San Juan之旅。
很多牛人能在一天之内爬完三座大山，我们都是average Joe，得老老实实照章办事。
行程如下：
第一天：驱车七小时到达Navajo Lake trailhead，背着重重的包走到Navajo Lake，安
营扎寨。
第二天：从North Slope Couloir上El Diente，traverse to Mt. Wilson
第三天：休息
第四天：从Southwest Ridge上Wilson Peak
第五天：卷铺盖走人。
从Navajo Lake TH 到Navajo Lake约4.5 迈，上升两千尺，算是比较容易的approach。
我们走了大概三小时，到了湖边还没站稳脚跟，就受到大批蚊子的欢迎。

上回说到，Elk Range那几个老大难都还没碰过，话音刚落,机会就来了。几个跟我一样
只有找到有人垫背才敢尝试的WSN凑在一起,组队浩浩荡荡杀奔Aspen而去。为此专门请
了一周假,因为这几个山头的碎石是出了名的,在那儿挂掉的都不是因为摔,而是被别人
踩下来的飞石击中。周间爬山的人少,相对安全些。
行程如下:
周一,开到Aspen，午饭后到Maroon Lake TH,背着包包走到Crater Lake扎营
周二,从South Ridge上Maroon Peak
周三,从Northeast Ridge上North Maroon Peak
周四,从Northeast Ridge上Pyramid Peak
周五,睡个懒觉,收拾东西,慢悠悠地回到Maroon Lake TH，散伙回家。

从South Colony Lake回来，觉得今夏的爬山计划已基本完成，准备专心看奥运了。正
当中美金牌大战进行得如火如荼的时候，好久不联系的山友W忽然给我发了条短信，说
他所有class 4的14er里只剩一个Little Bear了，找不到人同去，问我有没有胆子舍命
陪君子。
看到短信我愣了许久，Little Bear，Little Bear……这个绕不过去的家伙，终于还是
来了。两年前，曾和我一起爬过山的小朋友Kevin Hayne在Little Bear不幸遇难。

发帖数: 1371 | 31 想必大家对Mt Evans不陌生，最容易上顶的14er嘛，可能很多人登顶的第一座14000英
尺以上山峰就是它了。Mt Evans山顶上还有一条北美洲海拔最高的公路（最高到海拔
14130 ft，合4310米，再爬一百尺就到顶了），虽然每年只开放三个多月，不过几乎每
天山顶上停车场都满满的，游人如织。
Mt Evans的邻居Mt Bierstadt也是非常popular的一座14er，在美国的所有14000英尺以
上山峰中，登顶人次肯定能排前五，甚至有可能排进前三呢（仅次于可以开车上顶的
Pikes Peak和Mt Evans）。从Mt Bierstadt东侧的Guanella Pass出发，有一条相对平
缓，几乎没有难度的路可以上顶。下图是10月初在Guanella Pass拍摄的Mt Bierstadt
（右边山峰）
当然，如果要选择稍有难度的路线，这两座山峰也可以提供。一条比较经典的线路，是
所谓Sawtooth traverse，一般从Mt Bierstadt，沿着锯齿状山脊（上图中间）到Mt

established ridge route) but this place called Triplet Rocks.

我有很多次去过热带地区，却一直没机会看到南十字星，据说在北回歸線以南的地方皆可看到，这次来大岛，我下定决心要看到。
大岛有两个火山，都是绝好的观星之所，Mauna Loa低一些却是世界上体积最大的火山，有名的夏威夷果巧克力牌子就用了这名字，Mauna Kea更高一些，从海底的山脚算得话，有一万米高，比珠峰高多了，因此尽管在热带，也可能六月飞雪。就在我们回去没两天，听说山顶上又下了厚厚的新雪。
Mauna Kea可以开车到顶，不过路比较陡需要全驱，半山的路必定是在云雾中开，基本常年积累着云气，开出云层便豁然开朗，可以看到火山的真貌，回头则是无边的云海。
在这里看个日落绝对值得，看山顶的天文台掩映在落日的红尘中。
