...I bought the crochet book a few weeks ago (wish I knew about this offer
earlier!), but I was a complete beginner and I was able to teach myself the
basics just from this book. Halfway through my first afghan right now.

套都好可爱，自己也想试一下，不过新手入门，有如下问题啊：
1）一般比较漂亮的bootie, mitten啥的，是不是都是钩织(crochet)的,而不是棒织的(
knit)? 以前没有做过crochet, 不知道容不容易上手，虽然本人会很努力的学习。。
2）因为要买工具了，不知道都需要那些东西，如果确定是crochet, 有没有推荐的针的
样式和毛线的样式？
3）大家都是去哪里买的啊？ 我知道的有Michaels和 Hobby lobby, 但每次都看得眼花
缭乱。这些地方可以买到一些pattern么？
问题好多啊，有提供pattern的更加要包子答谢了。。 |

先钩一条辫子，然后钩double crochet.
收尾的时候线留长一些，沿着边一圈一圈绕，最后上钩子。我是后加的珍珠，你也可以

是想玩五颜六色的绣线和绷架。外婆不让，说眼睛会坏，还说女孩不用学，到了十八岁
自然就会了。我就满心盼望十八岁的到来，蹭的一下就会刺绣了……后来看书上说解放
前的上海市三女中有女子家政礼仪课，很是羡慕，我们这一代和这些有点绝缘。所以一
听说这个缝纫裁剪的女红活动，我就兴致勃勃地跟女儿一块去学，发现很多没见过用过
的好玩东西。
组织活动的是个希腊东正教徒妈妈——我认识的好几个传统教派的妈妈都擅长传统手艺
。一进她家，先看到三四张极大的桌子，一看就是善做家务的人家。桌子上放着缝纫机
、针线、布料、衬里，一群老老小小的女人们在忙乎，一片纯女性的天地。女儿一眼看
中色彩鲜艳的毛线和一些心形、星形的塑料格子模板，近旁的一位老太太热心上前，手
把手教她把毛线穿到塑料针上——我头一回看到这种塑料的针：
美国人真是child-friendly，给小孩用的东西一定保证安全。然后把毛线穿到塑料模板
的格子里，分平针、回针、斜针等不同针法，跟织毛衣似的。这是女儿和跟去玩的儿子

My favorite is crossstich. I'm kind of addicted to it and cannot stop.
I do it while watching TV, so I always have an ongoing project.
The next project I want to do is one of those mirabilia fairies.
The second is crochet. My ex-roommate gave me some patterns. They
are in Germany, but language doesn't matter. Seems like the whole world
use the same note except America.
Knitting is fun but it is too warm for thick sweater here. I guess I need
some motivation to start.
