稍微为自己”辩解“两句。 如果说版上珍爱猫狗的朋友们在对待小动物的立场上是八
九分，本来希望我能够做到六七分的话，我是从过去二三分做到了现在四五分。一杯水
是从空到半满。其实过去几个月里事实上也一直是我在真正帮助喂养它。前面提到的老
印女士偶尔早上会喂猫，但是完全不是猫粮，都是她家孩子的早点面包一类。另外街坊
里有人门口摆一碗牛奶，但是猫并不会去喝。我不但买了三种不同的干粮和罐头，还买
过除跳瘙的喷雾剂和挤压小管，特别都挑了绿色包装的对儿童和宠物无害的那种 （试
着给猫用过一次，不过它非常不喜欢）。当得知猫的合法主人的确是那家人之后，几个
邻居和新房主还有我都认为从道义上说就是要让对方负起责任。我也很赞同这种思维方
式，那就是至少要让他们知道，社会和 community对他们的judgement， 也就是我前面
说的，要让他们subject to 良心和conscious的challenge.
整个过程我也问过一些朋友们，是否有人愿意领养，发这个贴，前面提到过，也算是一

following note from their listing agent regarding the cat: 因为我昨晚给她（
listing agent)写了封email告诉她那家人的女儿来把猫领走了，然后诚恳地表达了对
猫的祝福。。。以下是她的email:

You could have adopted the cat! J I’ll keep you posted on the little
critter’s progress…check in with me anytime. Have a beautiful day. You
have such a big heart. J
