dba create database, then create user with proper privilege in your database.
On Orace machine
sqlplus /nolog;
connect system as sysdba;
######Then create your user#############3
create user yourusername identified by 'password';
grant connect to yourusername;
grant resource to yourusername;
You need to setup appropriate tablespace for your user so user will not put
junk into system tablespace. |

I do make sure C:\db2data exists on C drive before I run the command, also,

I am not sure whether vmplayer supports creating OS images, though, so if
you have to vmware,
create the image with virtualbox first, then copy it back to vmware. |
