小弟学佛一年多了，主要就是看书。本来渐渐有了一丝宗教的热诚，但这两天看了本书
，“中
国禅宗通史”，作者是国内的佛教史专家杜继文（老共产党员），自己心中起了很多疑
惑。比
如说书中分析中国历代的士大夫为什么多学佛，引了刘禹锡的一段话：
“予策名二十年，百虑而无一得，然后知世所谓道无非畏途，唯出世间法可尽心耳”。
刘禹锡二十年而无一得，只有佛法让他觉得可以“尽心”。这是说佛法让他有了思想上
的寄
托，可能更符合他对于真理的某种“期待”。我们现在的学佛人呢？我自己考察自己，
可能有
一些对真理的渴望，但恐怕更多的就是怕死。我们说天说地，说禅定解脱，恐怕也是因
为佛法
满足了很多人面对死亡和人生挫折的无助，需要一种思想的寄托；在这样的“市场需求
”下，
比较现有的一些产品，佛法更吸引人？
另一方面说，佛陀可能完全理解“绝对真理”，但教给我们的，多半只能是各种“方便说
法”吧？
