最近我contract工作的这个site要关了,工作要移到另一个site 做.这是我和
consulting 公司当初都没料到的.
现在的麻烦是我的开车通勤距离要从单程20多mile变成40多mile,几乎是两倍的距离.
我跟consulting公司的合同是明确写了现在的工作地点的(Work location: xxx). 现在
地点变了,我可以要求更改合同,同时多要些报酬吗?

老板板最近找谈话，希望能帮我继续延contract到年底
但是老板指出可能有个政策规定contract干一年必须休息三个月
1）我完全没听过这个规定，所以来板上问问有这样的规定么？
目前的agency不帮我办理H1B，我本来也是正在找别的fulltime
但是如果能换个agency留在现在的单位，同时又能够赶上今年的H1B申请对于我来说是
非常不错的选择。

现在很多contract的工作是公司要消减cost，所以把一些非核心职位用contractor来做
。比如我知道Apple很多这种。其实pay rate就是和full time employee差不多，
benefit全部没有。如果把这种工作翻译成中文的话，叫做"临时工"或者"试用工"合适
一些。现在工作不好找，job market是买方市场，很多公司就用这个办法来lower自己
的risk。这种工作找来了"临时工"都是眼巴巴一年以后有职位空出来能转成full
employee的。接这种contracting job的都是找不到full employement工作的人，或者
刚出校门的学生。
还有一种，类似consulting的。就是公司专门有个短期的或者临时的project需要做，
找人来搞定。弄好了以后两清，类似你找人修房子一样。这种得你就需要把你所有的
benefit打进去。接这种得一般是有些经验的人出来part time挣外块，或者是自己有个

我们买的不是short sale，也不是银行回收房。卖方是个老印。
经过几次讨价还价，今天卖方代理打电话说我们的offer被接受了。
但随后又转来seller的一封信。
信的大意是seller要transfer工作，
正在和新雇主商定relocation assistance。
为了能拿到relocation assistance，
卖方签合同的时候，还需要relocation company to be involved。
卖方还希望我们能把他这封信当作"an acceptance of the offer"
并需要我们等几周(原话是 a couple of weeks)直到relocation company involved
再sign正式的contract。
希望各位有经验的讲讲这里面有什么trick？ |
