Matthew Continetti gives the President a D plus in his grade for his first
term in office and with a grade that low, let’s hope it is his only term in
office.
Continetti notes that Obama awarded himself a “a good, solid, B-plus” not
long ago but when he visited the cacklers at ABC’s The View he decided that
he shouldn’t assign himself a letter grade because his term is “
incomplete.”

圣地牙哥加大（UCSD）教授公然歧视华人？ 22日在中国留学生论坛，该校化学系教授Clifford Kubiak的实验室条例被曝光，其中一条写道：「不要相信中国人说的话。」（Don't believe anything the Chinaman says）。
事件传出后，有网友表示要给校长及国家科学基金会（NSF）写信。也有人试图将此报告给为亚裔争取平权的非政府组织80-20基金会（80-20 Initiative），为华裔讨个说法。
不过化学与生化学院院长Continetti电邮表示，「（这些言辞）显然不合适」（definitely not appropriate），「也不能代表整个化学学院的观点」（definitely not a reflection of the UCSD Chemistry Department），并表示将展开调查。

发帖数: 70028 | 6 华人社区关注的圣地牙哥加大（UCSD）教授Cliff Kubiak「辱华事件」终于尘埃落定。Kubiak教授日前发布道歉信，UCSD随后向全校公布，并重申其学术自由以及学者、学生多元化平等的价值取向，学校还特别增设专门负责族群平等多元的副校长职位，以期给学生和学者创造更公平正义的学习工作环境。
据悉，此事件不但有USCD中国学生学者联谊会（CSSA）介入，更有前德拉瓦州副州长、亚裔人权组织80-20基金会主席吴仙标（S.B.Woo）与加大总校长余度夫(Mark Yudof)和UCSD校方交涉一个多月。
事件发生后，UCSD副校长Suresh Subramani受余度夫指派专门负责此事，学校邀请该校三位德高望重的华裔教授钱永健（Roger Tsien）、钱煦（Shu Tsien）以及王映真（Jean Wang）参与学校反歧视委员会（OPHD）的调查。三位教授表明，他们全程参与调查，并提出很多质疑，都得到答覆。Kubiak此前从没有任何种族歧视言行举止，他们对调查的过程和结果均表示满意。

Please refrain from making any irresponsible comments such as " website
has been hacked" blah blah, the website is currently being analyzed and
forensic info has been saved, and website has been captured and forwarded to
UC Regent, multiple media outlets (LA Times, CBS, ABC, FOX, SF Chronicle,
Mercury News). It is common sense that UCSD/Chem Dept will minimize this
and uses all kinds of excuses, which will have legal consequences and may

我以前有给 Prof. Kubiak 做过TA。
人很nice的，特幽默的那种。
我敢肯定是开玩笑的那种，想不到被你们给揪出来一顿乱打。
然后看了Continetti的信，超nice的人这么快出来道歉，
觉着网络真是太厉害，太能搞了。
