下面是我女儿在高中三年级（2015-2016学年）选修高中《美国历史大学先修课》（AP
American History）时所写的学期论文（junior thesis）。本地高中学生一般公认高
中文科最具挑战的课程就是《美国历史大学先修课》。我女儿总体上比较爱好理工科课
程，对我这个文科专业的父亲来说，总觉得高中文科的课程也是极有意义的。然而我女
儿是一名多年参加体操俱乐部系统训练（每周要有20多小时的体操训练，还要加上外出
参加比赛的时间）的运动员，因此对选修这门阅读量很大的美国历史大学先修课程颇有
顾虑。我考虑到这门课程的对女儿的阅读，思维和写作都有很大帮助，就极力鼓励她选
修这门课程，并且“保证”如果学期成绩只能获得B也不会有所“责难”。最后女儿“

而党卫队保安处紧跟不放，逐渐将触角从德国国内伸向海外，因而频频踏足国防军情报
局的传统地盘。
从魏玛时代以来国防军情报局(Abwehr)一直是德国唯一的海外谍报机构。1934年军情军
总长是海军出身的帕齐格(Conrad Patzig)，此人是典型的职业军人，性格保守正统，
对党卫队保安处搞的那一套缺乏好感。这年秋天，帕齐格和海德里希的冲突愈演愈烈。
军情局定期派遣间谍飞机到波兰侦察飞行，结果波兰政府根据1934年签订的“德波互不
侵犯条约”提出抗议。本来这是一件普通的外交事件，但海德里希抓住机会向国防部长
布隆堡(Werner von Blomberg)发难，说军情局这样做是给纳粹政权抹黑。布隆堡为了
息事宁人，只好走马换将了。

是半个世纪前的语言而且错误不少，所以，重新翻译了一下，供大家研究。
其实，感到《波茨坦公告》写得很牛逼，估计是美国已经造好了原子弹，底气十足。
但相比之下，《开罗宣言》由于产生于1943年12月1日，相对比较笼统，遣辞也保守了
很多。
当然，至于日本的领土，国家，军队，产业等界定，有些说得蛮具体，可以搞一搞。

从1970到2000年有一件事情是真实发生了的：发达国家人口从占世界总数的30
%缩小到刚过20%，穆斯林世界总人口则从世界总数的15%增长到20%。
1970年穆斯林以外没有多少人拿伊斯兰当个大问题，然而今天它是全球性的
。9/11并不是 "the day everything changed"，而只不过是揭示了早就改变了的世界

此书作者Mark Steyn是美国保守派，支持共和党，支持伊拉克战争。我发此读书笔记并
不表示我赞同其观点。完全是开卷有益，美国右派的思想，对大多数中国人来说是陌生
的。但我的确认为作者所讲述的问题是真实的而且是严重的。我理解这本书最主要的思
想并不是人口，或者伊斯兰，而是西方文明的衰落。对于欧洲福利制度，社会民主主义
，这一套东西，读了此书我们会有一个 second opinion。对于美国为什么允许一般人

在自民党上月国会选举取胜的鼓舞下，日本首相安倍晋三再次立誓，定要将日本从往昔
的桎梏中解脱出来，尤其是要带领国家走出二战失败的阴影。安倍晋三和他的支持者们
将对那个时代的主流记述看作“自虐史学”，并认为正因如此日本人才难以对所谓的“
新日本”产生自豪感。他们提出要修改日本宪法第九条，即日本人民“永远放弃战争作
为国家的主权权力”。
去年4月，日本外务省在其官方网站公布了一幅日本地图，集中体现出开拓新日本的雄
心壮志。在这份被译成12种语言的地图上，日本的疆域超出了国际社会承认的边界。它
以“固有领土”的名义，将周边国家提出主权主张的许多岛屿统统划归日本所有。按照
日本的说法，这些地方都是日本国不可分割的一部分。
实际上，安倍政府的扩张主义观点反而有损于日本的经济和战略利益。

最近，我们学校因为取消播放一场电影（美国阻击手/American Sniper）的争议又引起
全美关注。
到底怎么回事呢？
平常每个周五晚上，学校会播放一场电影，让学生放松娱乐的目的。这个刚过去的周五
本来是要播放“美国阻击手”。消息公布出来之后，一些中东和北非的穆斯林学生组织
写信获得了300多个签名向学校抗议，说被歧视，让他们感觉人身安全没有保障。学校
在没有经过探讨的情况下，决定取消这场电影。
但是，这样的决定不止引起其他学生的不满，觉得违反了言论自由，同时，许多校友也
加入了进来，支持学生播放这场电影，有的校友甚至威胁说，如果不播放，以后一分钱
也不捐款。
更有意思的是，密歇根橄榄球新教练Jim Harbaugh在推特上发了一条消息说："
Michigan Football will watch "American Sniper"! Proud of Chris Kyle & Proud
to be an American & if that offends anybody then so be it!"
