concrete block, 也就是一块块的水泥块儿。如果裂缝沿着纹路，一般问题不会太大
，要问问什么时候产生的裂纹，最近又没有漏水，如果很久了， 最近几年也没有加剧
，应该是稳定的地基了。如果非常喜欢，不想放弃，就花 ４００ 美金请一个
foundation engineer, 他们能够给你专业的结论。

清楚，不过是floating的，所以有些地方踩上去会响，仔细看能看出地板在颤，就像球
场铺的地板也会响会颤一样。
湿度是个问题，但不是因为太湿，是开了暖气太干会裂。不过这个是木地板的普遍问题
，和concrete slab没啥关系。 |

Another method I have seen in deck construction is to use a piece of plywood
that have been sealed between your wood and concrete. But over time,

现在新出一个叫elastilon, 双面粘，可以在concrete上solid hardwood, 无需额外的

But I would suggest to buy one with a big base, so that you don't have to
dig a big hole -- they also need at least two big bag of concrete, plus two
hours labor :-) |

凝土一直到地下，然后铺木头再打入spikes穿过木头一直进入混凝土。等混凝土凝固后
，木头，concrete blocks,做为一个整体就和地面固定起来了。我老爹说我这是over-
design，但我觉得有必要。因为我的patio下面全是沙子，还有坡度，远离房子的那一
边很有必要这样搞。 |

这一块补上的时候注意跟周围一致，比如，整个porch是concrete的，你就用concrete
；是decking，用同样木料，整个再stain几次，调成一色儿的；希望是gravel，因为铺
石子最省事。 |

我住湾区看到的大多数房子都是crawl space, 当然concrete slab的也有，见得不多，
那种房子最大问题是remodel极其费力，也没法在地下走cable线啥的。
另外直接接触地面想来应该不如crawlspace舒适 |

basement如果是poured concrete的话，渗点水问题不大。如果有dry wall可能会长
mold，没有的，过几天就干了。
poured concrete地基外侧会刷一层黑色的防水涂料，可能时间长磨损了。 |

是很多数）， 屋子两边， 后院前院的concrete 都要打穿。 我们后面到前面
sidewalk的距离大约150尺。
现在两边side yard的concrete都是有finish的， 还得多加钱，我们为了省钱，
replace时都打算用最最便宜的料，不match也算啦。 |

gravels would allow the water to sink in.
For those house with basement foundation, chances are frost also come a lot.
Gravels are self-healing after frost damage, and concrete is not. Actually,
in the cold north, few driveway are concrete for the same reason. |

My company does installations for the Lumber Liquidators here in NYC. The "
adhesive mat" the original poster mentioned is a new product called
Elastilon. It is sold directly through the local stores, and costs about $2
a sq. ft.
I've done a few installations on above grade concrete without any problems
using it. Just make sure you follow these steps before installation.

看的那天正好下雨，不过不大，basement里面倒是没有漏水，然后前面车库的concrete
，patio的concrete，都有沉降的现象，造成了比较大的裂痕。
院子有两面，地势是外面高，接近房子的地方地势低，所以我们担心这样地基容易积水
，产生压力，容易破坏地基。
这样的情况，会有多大问题呢？是直接不要考虑了吗？ |

concrete water-resistant 1/2-in HardieBacker Cement Board as tile backer on
bathroom surounds. Make sure you use concrete nails with hardie boards.

发帖数: 240 | 36 Inspector说crawl space潮湿，在vapor barrier上有些地方有积水，insultation也要
换。这几天约了几个contractors 看看crawl space 的问题。我也亲自下到crawl
space，的确比较潮，concrete四周墙上有横着的一条水印样的，有些墙角有浸润样子
的。vapor barrier有些地方没有水，有些地方积水，但绝对不多，没形成水洼。
其中一个contractor着重强调漏水。直接估了个$2000装sump pump和在crawl space里
安装 drainage trench around perimeter with drain pipe。说要是不装，赶上下大
雨地下水位升高，再加上有些渗漏，crawl space就泡了。再加上insulation, 换vapor
barrier, clean up, total bill $5000+。
可是另一个contractor认为这种程度的漏水在我们这儿(seattle area, 一年有大半年
下雨)太普遍了，而且他觉得vapor barrier上的积水是从地下的泥土里渗... 阅读全帖 |

guess it's fine if OP's slab is high and dry without potential water
