post-completion OPT的开始日期可以在degree completion date之前么？
例如，我的I20上的degree completion date 是4月30日， 我可以申请post-
completion OPT的start date为 4月9日么？
如果不行，pre-completion和post-completion OPT有什么区别么？假如我现在申请pre
-completion OPT 4月9日开始，那过了4月30日,会自动变成post-completion OPT么？

我在某校读PhD, 八月底毕业. 为了能早点去工作, 申请了pre-completion OPT, 有效
期是六月初到八月底 (我八月底答辩, 我们学校规定pre-completion 只能在答辩之前
用).
本来准备拿到pre-completion后再申请post-completion OPT, 最后再申请H1B. 这样就
可以
pre-completion OPT cover 六月初 到 八月底
post-completion OPT cover 八月底 到 十月一日
H1B cover 十月一日以后
我现在已拿到 pre-completion EAD卡, 正准备申请 post-completion, 忽然收到公司
来信, 要给我办H1B. 现在问题来了,
1. 我可以同时申请 post-completion和H1B 吗?
2. 若同时申请, 如果H1B先批下来, 我的 post-completion还能用么 ?

1. 最早什么时候申请pre-completion OPT?
A student may file for OPT up to 90days before he or she completes a full
academic year. If the student has already completed a full academic year, he
or she may apply for OPT up to 90days in advance of the requested
employment start date.
问题：什么是full academic year呢？是指寒假那段时间，还是暑假那段时间？现在申
请的话，算哪种？ 要比offer上的开始日早90天么？也就是说，公司给的job start
time至少要在三个月之后了吧，不然不满足申请条件。

degree，因
为degree只能等到12月份拿，另外还有6个学分要等到12月份才能修完。
去找了IES，说是10月份-12月22日办pre-completion OPT, 12月22日之后办Post-
completion OPT。
8月中旬才能申请Pre-completion OPT,一般需要2个月，那是否得等到10月中旬才能去
做博后？如
果非得在10月1日去做博后，是否2个星期没办法pay?另外，Official offer letter是
否有助于加
速Pre-completion OPT的批准？
另外，是否可以在毕业之前申请CPT？

只能申请Pre-
completion OPT，但其余人都可以申请Post-commpletion OPT，也不知为啥，问了N次
，一口咬
定只能申请Pre,理由是还未毕业。
因为还差一个学期的研究学分，所以被告知只能part time。可申请到一博后，对方要
凭EAD卡和
degree completion letter注册。
问了研究生院，说是即使差6个研究学分，也可以在下学期中论文提交之后开出degree
completion
letter。
刚寄出pre-completion OPT材料，是否会被拒绝。拿到degree completion letter之后
是否会
因为研究学分还没修好而只能part time? |
