For actual documentation on all the internal commands, you will need to get

r*****s 发帖数: 985 | 26 Hi, everybody,
I tried to use a shell script to do a for loop:
#!...bash
for i in (5, 10, 15, 20) do;
sed 's/bpp=64/bpp=$i/g' myfile.c > myfile2.c
~~
done
However, each time it executes, "bpp=64" becomes "bpp=$i" instead of
"bpp=5" ......
I have no idea how to make the $i inside sed command to be a real variable.
Anybody has a suggestion for it?
Thanks a lot! |

"-v" specifies verbose reporting mode. "-n" indicates that the disk space
should be allocated as needed up to the specified size( instead of all
being allocated when the file is created). I don't know the meaning
in parentheses. Can you help me? |

There is a -o option in the man time file. But it doesn't work in my
environment (bad command). It seems that -o is a GNU option. Is this the cause
of the problem? Is that a way to handle it?
GNU OPTIONS
-f FORMAT, --format=FORMAT
Specify output format, possibly overriding the for-
mat specified in the environment variable TIME.
-p, --portability
Use the portable output format.

such as "alias lsls 'ls -ld '", and if I write a shell file

no such command found. the thing is if I run "lsls" without
including it in a shell file, then it works.
how to solve this problem? |
