婴儿应避免饮用
美国环保署（EPA）近日公布2012年美国约300班飞机的饮用水质报告，12％被验出含大肠菌群。EPA于2004年验出15％饮用水有细菌，呼吁航空公司改善。新检测结果显示，饮用水品质并无太大改善。
大肠菌群（coliform）包含可能引发健康问题的大肠杆菌，EPA未证实有乘客喝了机上饮用水后生病。但医生表示，大多数人喝了含细菌的水不会生病，不代表这种水一定不会致病，尤其婴儿和免疫系统差的人应避免饮用。现今航空公司大都提供瓶装水给乘客饮用，但许多航班仍用机上水箱的水冲泡咖啡和茶。这些水箱会在全球各大机场装载水，难保水管或其他容器未受污染。

【侨报纽约网报道】由纽约时报发起的一项调查显示，曼哈顿、布碌仑及皇后区的
部分建筑的水塔中存在大肠杆菌（E. coli, coliform）。同时，纽约时报还披露，纽
约市中数千座盛装着上百万纽约客饮用水的水塔，经年来从未依照相关规定进行过应有
的检测。
据NBC新闻网援引纽约时报报道，调查人员在纽约市曼哈顿、布碌仑和皇后区的12
座建筑水塔中提取水样进行化验后，发现了其中5座水塔所蓄水中含有存在于鸟类和其
他哺乳动物粪便中的大肠杆菌。根据联邦法律规定，当饮用水中发现大肠杆菌存在后，
该水塔所盛的水必须经烧开后才可被饮用。
据了解，该研究通过检测发现大肠杆菌的5座水箱及没有发现该细菌的另外三座水
箱后得出结论：虽然大肠杆菌本身并没有太大危害，但它可以为其他有害细菌的滋生提
供很好的生长环境。
此外，研究还发现，所有发现问题的水箱内的大肠杆菌几乎都存在于水箱底部，以

reported a noncompliance issue that we have been trying to solve. This WWTP
has been operated since 1996. Everything had been running ok. However,
starting from the summer of 2007, they detected sporadic outbreaks of fecal

I don't understand why you question the need for disinfection. Is there a
paper or other documentation from the CDC or GAO in the 70s that you could
send to me?
It is my understanding that the predominant literature suggests that fecal
coliform and E. coli are used as indicator bacteria to determine to degree
of contamination by fecal matter. The presence of fecal matter indicates
the potential presence of any number of harmful (and sometimes deadly)

report，交到州环保局审。最近收到反馈，跟他们扯皮中。
2. 一个county的20年master plan，我先评价一下那个county长期以来头痛的饭店废油
怎么搞。写了个报告，提出两个方案，头儿对其中一个方案很感兴趣，打算拿之跟州政
府再骗些钱。
3. 三个 NPDES permit renewal。刚完成一个，还有两个正在进行。发现那些clients
真是不着急，死期压着，还不赶紧联系实验室分析他们的样品。
4. 一个WWTP的排水发现fecal coliform不达标了。给诊断方案和纠正方案。
5. 一个WTP的TOC和DBP太高，评价方法，可行性分析，进行中。
6. 一个炼钢厂，废水TDS高，想办法降下来，然后废水回用。我给个报告，提出，比较
，并推荐方案。刚开头。
7. 设计一个新的WWTP。
8. 今天刚到的新项目，填埋厂渗滤液预处理。又是一个engineering report。

per day for their violation of the permit. They dicharged a couple hundred
more fecal coliforms per 100 mL, which is nothing compared to this. |
