If you like strategy/finance and target consulting
firms/investment banks, Yale might be a better choice.
If you like industrial corporate jobs, CMU might be better.
CMU is also said to be good at Financial Engineering which deals lots
of quantitative analysis.
Both programs are small and cohesive and perform about the same
in various rankings. Yale ranks better in US News (13) whilst
CMU does better in Businessweek (14). B |

前面说也跟你也不矛盾阿，都做完了，能写成一篇好的，何必分成三篇？一篇好的论文，
和三篇合起来如果内容一样多的话，第一种绝对更能引起注意和赢得尊重。
追求数量，这个词我就觉得你可以有两种解释，一是追求工作的高产，二是把工作包装成
很多篇论文。第一种无可厚非，我下面批判第二种。我觉得这种做法很傻，捡了芝麻掉了
西瓜。
写作能力中，我觉得语言还是次要的，重要的是怎么组织内容，怎么把自己的东西条理清
晰的总结出来展示给别人，怎么come up with a coherent and cohesive story。有些人
英语好，还是写论文或者作报告很烂，很多就是因为重点不分明，条理不清楚。而有些no
n native speaker反而作报告非常成功。另外，我觉得当faculty更重要的是vision，对
问题思考的深度，和敏感的直觉。我个人认为这些都是需要认真扎实的积累得来的。
学术界的确比较看重论文。但是最根本的还是工作的分量，学术界是很小的，一个人做了
什么东西什么水平，大家都知道，这是无论写1片还是写n篇都无法改变的。我个人觉得追
求数量这种手段不是认真做学问的态度。当然，就算只是讨 |

留学生是415一个学分，绿卡减半，下学期好像又要涨一点，
suny是州立系统，cuny是市立系统，
我一个同学BMCC毕业的在我们program，
他BMCC用的paper都可以拿过来接着交，
每次只要挖挖以前的paper拿来交就行了，
说明ASN和BSN很多课其实都差不多的，
就是听说suny downstate学校那边很多黑人，
你实地跑一次去看看，但是他们有自己的medical center，
我选hunter因为地铁方便，在曼哈顿，大部分都是白人和亚裔，部分黑人，
SUNY他们那个program prefer有绿卡的学生，要申请要尽量早点。
RN－BSN Nursing的课都是每学期几个paper APA format，
老师都会提前告诉你要写什么，
最多就是有个期中考，有些没有期中考，
期末一般没有考试，平时就是听老师讲课，
看看老师给的文章，做几个online的certificate考试，
最多一个paper，然后期末就是group presentation。
这种都是给边上班边工作的护士设立的，

I think good interview questions should have some cohesive theme.
Sometimes, folks just mix and match questions because they think
those questions share some "background", like they both use a coin
or red/black balls. If the extension involves completely different
techniques, it is probably a bad mix of questions and hence
it is not going to really tell the difference among candidates that
well.
A good question can go like this:
1. Describe BS;
2. What are its assumptions;
