华理这方面很弱的。也没有基础。一般公推复蛋电光源。一般要搞比较新的方向,比如
LED,都是要有CLEAN ROOM的。这个华理是当了裤子也搞不起的。最关键,校长们都不
懂物理的。就是有国家预算,也不会去想建设一个CLEANROOM的。
以前KODAK好象有个校友,是做OLED的。后来据说搬芝加哥去卖保险了。楼主你要不通
过华理校友会去跟他联系一下?

是很懂的。校长,书记那个层面,都不保证人人来过美国的。来看看我们华理最近10
年的PROJECT:
取得新型水煤浆气化技术、纤维素废弃物制取乙醇技术、可资源化烟气脱硫技术、水氯
镁石先进脱水工程技术、微生物表达蛋白药物规模化制备平台技术等一批重大创新成果
,GMT复合材料、化纤碳白、人工钙骨水泥、冶炼厂SO2回收、干煤粉气化、新型自控发
酵罐等一批高新技术成果实现产业化,取得了重大经济效益和社会效益。
都是一些发展中国家的项目。60年代美国都比这个强。
清华的液晶做的不错。但是,总体看世界生产,就是在日本,台湾,韩国。这些东西,
化学方面的研究,生产是一个方面,其他电子,检测,包括跟政府的关系,可能更重要。
真的,有能力还是早去上交大早有奋斗。华理你看看现状,连个CLEANROOM,空的实验
室可能都没有。再看学生,跟上交大比,基本面就是烂,笨,家庭起点很底。你看看大
家回忆的大学日子就基本能明白了。
再看对待天才,对待科学系统研究的态度,对待基础科研设备投资的想法:看看我们华

我前面说了,华理出来的人,就是喜欢说这个好象我们也有。其实是真的没有。
他要的是物理,EE方面的人和知识。能跟他讲清楚,到底希望要个社么样的东西。他就
可以往那个去搞。他强的估计是跟他讲清楚以后,他搞的比较快。但是你要物理,电子
的人给他一个方向先。凡是做半导体材料的,估计都能明白我说的意思。
现在就算去了华理,跟周围人都没法交流。可是人家别的学校的竞争对手有物理后援。
加上华理基础条件差,社么测试仪器,社么CLEANROOM,估计都得从他的启动经费出。
最后凡是有本事的,都是这么跑人的。凡是留下的,都是跑不动的。
有时候,那些做校长,书记的,能站在世界工业,金融的大角度,去投资基础设备。去
引进配套的全系列人才,做好一个方向。那华理也不是今天了。就知道去盖个新学生宿
舍,新教学楼,这个没用的。就跟美国的STATE U一样。 |

个博士没有理由搞不定.我觉得两者不能比较. 但是好的超快平台,低温(<4 K),fs时间
分辨率,数百nm的空间分辨率,也很难吧。我只知道荷兰有个组能搞到低温下1um空间
分辨。
P.S.:我对老周不了解,为啥他在GIT拿的是Adjuct Prof. 回国还可搞一个长江学者?

光伏的几个基本方向,硅,多晶硅,都不需要国光插手;CIGS,华工还没什么基础。
其实华工有这么好的条件支持,应该先沉下心来扎实搞点应用基础研究。做好
cleanroom,把最简单的硅工艺做好,这花上最多一年的时间。之后想搞研究发paper,
想搞应用搞产品,都毫无问题。
作为国家级的研究中心,跟风做research,不合适。

方面的会议。有为老兄称他这位长江学者为“水沟学者”,印象深刻。Publications不是谁能抹掉的,查查应聘
长江教授前的文章,拿的出有一篇么。
他在Gatech毕业后,就一直管个试验室设备,混了多年,认识他的中国人太多了。以
Prof. 和(Microelectronics Research Center)Director的头衔去骗个长江学者,别人不说也就罢了。还出来显摆,什么:
“就算在美国,有上档次cleanroom的学校也就那么些;中国人象周治平那样混到管理
层去的,好像很少。这么一个人,而且还是校友,居然让他跑了,是很可惜的事情。”
无耻也要有点底线罢。 |

本科南大物理的,来了美国也是在物理系。phd五年在EE老板的photonics实验室。实验
室是做发光材料的光学性质表征,包括薄膜,nano颗粒和其他nanostructure。所以对
各种cleanroom的fabrication都很熟,TEM,SEM,photo/e-beam lithography, FIB,
design和setup光路,各种光学测量。经常用到matlab,comsol和zeemax等等
