观的印象。一般来说结婚双方毕业的学校相差不会远，而且律师医生PhD艺术家之间的
互相嫁娶很盛行。当然可能不是专门的势利行为，而是和圈子、共同语言有关。想起了
n年前The Economist做的一个关于美国贫富分化的报告中的一个插曲：不要看那个名律
师的太太是家庭主妇，这个家庭主妇是他在哈佛法学院时的同学。哪怕在中国人圈子，
虽然这里很多人说男PhD要搬运的，但现实是很多男PhD首选还是和女PhD结婚。这堆高
学历高智商的夫妇更可能生产出高智商的小朋友，教育起来也更有方法。所以我们这些
低学历低智商的生产出来的下一代，要upwardly mobile一点还真的不容易，唉。。。
将来为小朋友选大学时（如果他有能力的话）都要注意这个问题。有时学校不大好，不
仅在前程上要面对那些区分"one of us" & "one of them"的subtlety，连dating可能
都有些限制。这个dating的website只接受一些美国人认为的“好”学校－－“好”是

佛，得生樂土」

1. Suffolk 的Master of Science in International Eocnomics（1年的项目，学费
23000，11700的financial aid，不知道这个学校的这个专业就业如何）
2. Buffalo 的MA(Economics) （不想去这个了。。。）
3. UCSC 的Master of Science in Applied Economics and Finance( 2年的项目，有
点贵，不知道第二年是不是可能申到他TA什么的，再就是不知道就业如何）
4. Clark的MSF
5. Claremont Graduate University 的PhD. (30% tuition fellowship，还是那个问
题，就业不知道怎么样)
6. Clemson的MA in Economics. (奖学金还不知道有没有，对这个学校不太清楚）
我主要考虑的是毕业之后的就业情况，到目前为至我对学术没什么特殊的感情，欢迎了

鸡大学, 所以你朋友去是白给人交学费的. 不是每个人都有能力做金融也不是每个人都
适合做金融, 人生苦短, 还是多做点能让自己和别人都快乐的事情. |

phd, 但发过很牛的paper, 有些公司可能会网开一面给你机会. 但MFE来说, 除了你学
校的名气, 招你的公司没有任何其他信息来评价你的背景. 如果本科非ivy league就更
没戏了.

不会. 美国学校硕士都特好混, 全A学生一抓一大把, 人家宁愿要harvard的一般学生.
社团活动更是bullshit. 你去随便一个学校看看(尤其是二三流学校), 肯定有一堆社团
, 什么chinese finance association, chinese finance society, finance society
of chinese student, asian finance association, 反正这几个词你把所有排列组合
都列一便, 所有P和VP的数目加起来就是全部中国学生的树木了.
finance是所有人都想做的, 门坎很高, 你要勉强的话以后活得会很痛苦. |

你要马上领会是什么意思, 否则要么以后人家懒得理你要么把你骂个狗血喷头, 因为
trader时间宝贵耐性不佳, 没工夫跟你说第二遍. 同一个道理人家跟你说这么久你还不
明白, 以后如果入行的话不是自己给自己找不痛快么. |
